COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES
Comparative adjectives
Use a comparative adjective + than to show how two people, things or ideas
are different.
‘The Sahara. Desert is hotter than Paris
| For one-syllable adjectives, add -er.
| warm > warmer
For one-syllable adjectives which end in one vowel and one consonant,
double the consonant and add -er. Do not double the consonant w.
| wet > wetter Low —> lower
NOTE: dry + drier

opposite of more.

For two-syllable adjectives ending in -y, remove the -y and add -ier.
