RATIONALE/PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY:
In compliance with DepEd Order No. 029, which outlines the school calendar activities for
SY 2023-2024, and Republic Act 10533, emphasizing the importance of ongoing personal and
professional development for teachers and staff, Bismartz Elementary School is set to organize a 3-
day In-Service Training (INSET) named "3-Day INSET 2024." This comprehensive program is
dedicated to addressing the learning and development needs of teachers while disseminating crucial
information on key policies and priority programs established by the Department of Education.
The primary focus of the INSET is to cater to teachers' needs, enhancing their academic
teaching capabilities and fostering their professional growth. It aims to provide fundamental
knowledge that can be seamlessly integrated into daily lessons, thereby promoting active
participation and progress among learners.
The overarching goal of the INSET is to empower all participants with practical
competencies aligned with the school's carefully assessed needs, ensuring a continuous delivery of
high-quality instruction. Simultaneously, it seeks to nurture the holistic well-being of all personnel
by aligning with the suggested topics outlined in Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2024-0037 from
the Department of Education. This strategic alignment will further reinforce the school's
commitment to excellence in education and contribute to the overall advancement of its educators
and staff.
Objectives:
The INSET aims to:
a. Enhance teachers' understanding of innovative teaching methodologies and strategies relative to
National Learning Camp.
b. Improve teachers' knowledge and skills in effective reading instruction.\
c. Enhance teachers' content knowledge in Mathematics.
d. Discuss how the guidelines and strategies of Catch-up Fridays Program will be implemented.
e. Ensure teachers are well-informed about the content and objectives of Comprehensive
Sexuality Education.
f. Raise awareness among teachers about the rights-based education framework.
g. Ensure that all teachers are aware of their roles and responsibilities in implementing the Child
Protection Policy.
