DARK SENSOR LED LIGHT
Aim:
To study the working of LED with sensor in dark place.
Apparatus:
5V battery with connected wire, LED light, LDR Sensor, dot board, resistor and
connecting wire.
Theory:
"Dark sensor LED light " it is about night lamp. In this LDR sensor detects
about shadow of on it, based on this it will turn on and turn off. It is
automatic system.
Applications :
It can be used in home appliances
It can be used entrance of any way.
LED LIGHT :
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) produce light (or infrared radiation) by the
recombination of electrons and electron holes in a semiconductor, a
process called "[Link] wavelength of the light
produced depends on the energy band gap of the semiconductors used.
Since these materials have a high index of refraction, design features of
the devices such as special optical coatings and die shape are required to
efficiently emit light.
LDR sensor :
A photoresistor (also known as, or light-dependent resistor, LDR,)
is a passive component that decreases resistance with respect to
receiving luminosity (light) on the component's sensitive surface.
The resistance of a gbaterssister decreases with increase in
incident light intensity; in other words, it exhibits
photoconductivity. A photoresistor, can be applied in light-
sensitive detector circuits and light-activated and dark-activated
switching circuits acting as a resistance semiconductor. If incident
light on a ghaterssiste exceeds a certain frequency, photons
absorbed by the semiconductor give bound electrons enough
energy to jump into the conduction band. The resulting free
electrons (and their hole partners) conduct electricity, thereby
lowering resistance.
Circuit diagram:
Breadbroad connections:
Procedure:
1. Connect the resistor of one terminal to positive of battery.
2. Connect other terminal of resistor to positive terminal of LED
3. Negative terminal of LED to LDR on of the terminal.
4. Another terminal of LDR connect to negative terminal of battery.
Result: Thus, the VI characteristics of both PN junction diode and Zener
diode are verified
