Module 1 Self-reflection

Digital literacy is becoming increasingly important in today’s world, as


technology plays a central role in our daily lives, including social interactions
and education. In fact, digital literacy can support the development of strong
life skills. It can enhance communication skills. It improves critical thinking skills
and it can also support the development of problem-solving skills and
creativity. Nowadays, we have a huge number of opportunities to effectively
implement digital tools and different online activities in teaching and we can
create a high-quality lesson.
While studying module 1, I understood the impact of digital literacy on
traditional skills and now I can build strategies to develop my learners' abilities
to search for and evaluate information online. It’s important for teachers to
develop practical activities in order to help learners improve their digital
literacies.
I was surprised at such a great variety of resources to improve my students'
digital literacies.
All the information was clear and really useful. It helped me to improve and
systematize my knowledge.
It would be great to know more about practical ideas and integrating different
online activities into lessons.
To find out more about this topic, I'm going to attend webinars, practical
seminars and teacher's hubs.
I have already been using some digital tools and online activities with my
students. After this module, I have more ideas and useful tools that I will
definitely incorporate into my lessons.
I would like to implement into my lessons such activities as infographics,
creating a video learning journal and an audio news story.
