RAJESHWAR NIGAM
Tell me something about yourself-
My name is Rajeshwar Nigam and I hail from city of
lakes Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In my 12th grade, I
have secured 87% where I was also the school topper
in commerce stream. I have lead my house to 1st prize
in Inter-House Chess Competition and 3rd prize in
Inter-House IT Quiz. And I have represented Bhopal
district in U-17 MP State Chess Championship. Also I
have achieved Upper Intermediate level in English
Score Proficiency test conducted by British Council.
And I am determined to pursue a career in
management.
What are your hobbies-
In my leisure time, I love doing activities such as
playing chess and reading books.
What are your strengths and weaknesses-
Strengths:
My strength is that I adopt to things very well. Also if
someone has given me a particular task then I try my
level best to complete it with my full attention
towards it. My another strength is that I tackle
difficult situations in a good manner, like if a
challenging situation has come in front of me, then I,
instead of getting tensed, face that situation with
calmness and try to get solution to solve that
particular problem.
Weaknesses:
One of my weakness is that I get too involved in my
task at hand that I sometimes forget what is going on
in my surroundings. Also I want perfection even in
small things so sometimes I care much about things
which are not in my hand and get very much worried
and I am improving on it by just focusing on things
which I can control.

Why should we shortlist you for this seat-


I think one of the reasons you should select me is my
managerial skills. Also, I know how to manage people
and to handle critical situations. Also I have led teams
in various group assignments in my school life, so I
think that I would we able to add value to your
institute if got selected.
How will this degree help you in achieving your
long-term goals-
My ultimate aim is to create my own business and
this course will provide a strong foundation to various
managerial and business aspects. The exposure and
various opportunities, both academically and non-
academically, which I will get in these 5 years will help
me a lot in future. Moreover, the curriculum of this
course which focuses on four pillars- Mathematics,
Economics, Statistics and Humanities will help me in
my overall development as an individual. Also the
brand value of IIM is one the reasons for which I have
opted this course.
What have you learnt from the position of
responsibilities which you have held during
schooling-
The positions which I held in my school life has taught
me how to manage people. I learnt that managing
people is not easy task and there are different
approaches to deal with different people. Thus, as a
leader one should know that how he has to deal with
all the members of his team for betterment of both
team as well as all its members.
What uniqueness will you carry to the batch of
2023-
According to me the thing which makes me unique is
my capability to adapt to things very well and to learn
new things quickly. Also my ability to remain calm
even in tough situations and handle things in a good
manner. Also as I have mentioned before that I have
held responsibilities as a leader and have managed
people so I think that I am a suitable candidate for
this seat.
