the existing old problems of literacy of learners like reading comprehension, lack of vocabulary skills
and fluency.

- Provide individualized instruction based on each learner’s specific needs and abilities.
- Use evidence – based practices such as explicit phonics instruction, to teach foundational reading
skills.
- Involve parents/guardians in the instruction process to reinforce skills and support at home.
- Progress of the learners who undergo the PROJECT RIDE is impressive despite facing challenges and
difficulties
- Teachers are well-trained, well equipped on their approaches pertaining to mitigating the learning
gaps of learners
- Shared goals and coordinated efforts among school head, teachers and parents

Parents who were absent during the orientation called in sick or busy at work; not
interested at all since there was no response received despite numerous calls/texts.
Remedial session schedule is sometimes sacrificed because of other activities prioritized by
the school e.g. LGU-led activities.
