Modernized SRAM Missile Overview

Orbital proposes modernizing the AGM-69A Short Range Attack Missile (SRAM) to serve as a cost-effective missile defense target. The SRAM has a diameter of 17.5 inches, length of 168 inches, and weight of 2,240 pounds. It can emulate a variety of threats like ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and anti-radiation missiles. The SRAM offers flexible launch options from aircraft, ground, or sea. It provides variable trajectory profiles for testing missile defense systems.

SRAM Low Cost Missile Defense Targets

For 35 years Orbital’s Launch Systems Group has

demonstrated unequaled capability in utilizing de-
commissioned tactical and strategic missile assets
to develop new low-cost flight vehicles. Orbital
extends this proven development philosophy to the
AGM-69A Short Range Attack Missile (SRAM). A
modernized SRAM provides a flexible threat rep-
resentative target at a fraction of the cost of other
PAYLOAD
targets.
