Method Statement for: (Title of Method Statement)

In this block, Construction Contractor explains how installation of certain work will be performed and organized.
Each method statement will describe individual activities as they will occur in a sequence.

For example, installation of stormwater piping should include as a minimum the following activities: line survey and
stakeout, demolition and trench line preparation, trench excavation, disposal of excavated material, installation of
manholes, installation of pipe bedding, pipe installation and jointing, system leakage testing, trench backfill and
compaction, and final grade preparation and finishing.

For each activity, explain the following: scope, purpose, manpower and equipment used, materials used, and
explanation of work methodology. Describe routes used for material delivery, staging areas for material stockpiling,
areas required for material unloading and installation, and required site closures or shutdowns. Explain interference
with other utilities, and describe method for resolving conflict. Explain health and safety risk for each activity, and
describe H&S measures. Attach manufacturer’s installation instructions. Attach schematics, plans, drawings or
photographs to illustrate the method statement.

Reference relevant design drawings and specifications for each activity. Attach or reference approved shop drawings
and approved material submittals.

method statement submitted to explain the reason for non-compliance.
