ROLLERSKATES
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING
Phone alarm lights bedroom. ‘Time passing’ alarm sound rings loud at
10am. DAISY wakes up and sits up straight. Her hair is messy and in
her mouth. Her mascara is round her eyes. She throws duvet and falls
out of bed with a thud on her bum. She looks around room with a
surprised face. Daisy stumbles up to her feet and walks out the door
wiping away her hair from her face.
INT. STAIRS – MORNING
Daisy walks down the corridor but stumbles over her feet and falls
down on the floor with a thud. She looks up surprised and sees her
SIBLING with a coffee mug in her hand looking at her confused. Daisy
gets up quickly brushing herself off and quickly walks past her
Sibling with her head down.0
INT. KITCHEN – MORNING
Daisy walks into the kitchen and grabs cereal from the cupboard and
the milk from the fridge. Daisy trips over dog bowl and knocks the
cereal onto the floor. She picks up the cereal box on the floor and
pours the remaining cereal in the bowl. She pours the milk in the
bowl, but her sibling nudges her and makes Daisy miss the bowl and
pours the milk on the counter. Daisy turns around with her hands in
the air then puts her head in her hands.
Daisy walks to a cupboard to grab kitchen roll. She opens the
cupboard door and clutter falls out onto her making her fall onto
her bum with a big thud. Daisy’s eye squint. Over shoulder of some
roller-skates in the cupboard. Daisy's eyes widen with excitement
and grabs them quickly. She sits down on the floor and puts them on
and stands up. She nearly falls and holds herself against a wall.
She tries to skate to the outside door whilst holding onto the wall
and sofa. She goes out the door.
EXT. ROAD – DAY
Daisy is learning to skate outside going up and down the road whilst
stumbling around trying not to fall over. She starts skating towards
a tree and cannot turn away. She bumps into a tree, spins around and
fall onto her bum. She gets but shaking her head to wake up again,
She turns away from the tree and skates off up the road. She comes
back down the road at a fast speed and can’t stop. She is waving her
hands around to stop herself. She trips over a curb and falls onto
grass rolling over and over. She flips her hair back off her face,
and slowly gets up looking to see if anyone saw her.
EXT. ALLEY WAY – DAY
Daisy skates to an alley way holding onto a fence. She goes around a
corner and bumps into a group of BOYS. The boys are wearing big
black coats with their hoods up and a hat on. She falls onto the
floor and looks up to see the boys. The Boys turn around at the same
time angrily. They look down at Daisy as she is looking at them. She
gulps loudly.
She gets up quickly trying not to fall. She skates away quickly
going side to side. The Boys run after her going side to side as
well.
The boys catch up to Daisy and corner her to a fence. She looks
scared and gulps. A light-bulb appears over her head and has he
finger pointed up next to her head. She has an idea and She looks up
at the boys with a smile. She wiggles through the boys and skates
quickly down the alleyway. The boys look at each other. Their
eyebrows lift and chase after Daisy.
EXT. ROAD – DAY
The boys stop outside of Daisy's house out of breath from chasing
Daisy. She skates inside the house. The boys look at each other
confused in the sun. She runs outside holding 3 pairs roller-skates.
She points at the boys then the skates to tell the boys to put them
on. The boys look at each other and shrug. They sit down on the
ground and puts the roller-skates on. They stand up and all grab
each other to not fall. They look up at Daisy scared whilst holding
onto each-others clothes tightly. They skate up and down the road,
swerving around each individual crack in the road. The boys and
Daisy grab each other and hold hands in a circle. They skate around
in a circle together laughing and going up and down the road whilst
holding each not to fall over their feet.
