HYDRO TEST SOP

1.0 OBJECTIVE

To Establish A Standard Operating Procedure For Hydro Test.

2.0 SCOPE

This is applicable to Hydro test

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 Executing : Devi Engineering


3.2 Monitoring : Client

4.0 PROCEDURE:

i. Fill the water total volume of the storage. Close all the drain point & POU’s in the system.

ii. Select the system in manual mode

iii. Select & start the pump in manual mode.

iv. Slowly close the diaphragm valve in return line & then close the pump discharge valve
meanwhile stop the pump and observe increase in pressure in line.

v. Pressurize the entire loop with the help of hydro pump. (1.5 times the operating pressure)

vi. Set required Pressure.

vii. Hold the pressure for 60 minutes and check. Hydro test is successful if pressure drop is not
observed If observed, then rectify the leakage and repeat the hydro test as per above procedure.
