CAPSTONE UPDATE #1

1. What have you accomplished so far with your Capstone Project outside of class?

I purchased and received all the equipment and resources needed to fully complete my capstone
assignment including my tripod and other art equipment. I have started the first painting sketch and
am already half done painting the colour on the bottom half. I have used this first painting to practice
and educate my filming skills. I have so far 20 minutes of video from half an art piece and have played
around with it in my editing software. I have quickly put together a little snippet of what it should
roughly look like to give myself a good idea of what I want (attached). Other completed things are the
minor capstone assignments given to me in class.

2. What do you plan to accomplish by the end of next week?

I plan and hope to have the rest of my work published on my site and keep it up to date, I also hope to
fully finish painting in the first painting and start outlining it. I then hope to create my first video and
use it as constructive feedback to better my skills and improve what I don’t like

3. What are your needs (time, space, materials, personal contacts etc)?

I would like to give myself more time but unfortunately with my own personal busy schedule its been
very hard to set aside some time for this massive project. It Is one of my goals to prioritize my capstone
project more than other projects things I have on my schedule.
 4. Have you encountered any obstacles or challenges so far, and how have you overcome them?

Finding time to complete the paintings is a major part I have been struggling with; I will counter act
this by setting time aside ahead of time in my schedule.
I also want to start filming at a different point in my house. Where I am filming right now is in my
basement where my art desk/supplies are and there is little natural light. For my next art piece, I plan
to move my art setup to my middle floor dining room table (Mom said its ok Hehe) There is better
natural lighting, and it will make the coloration and lining of the art look nicer.
