Delvons 7up Poundcake

3 cups sugar 3 cups flour cups 7up 3 sticks margarine, softened 5 eggs

1) In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine until fluffy. 2) Alternately add flour and eggs, beginning and ending with flour. 3) Add 7up and beat well. 4) Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350F for 1 hour or until cake tests done with a toothpick.

Cassies Irish Soda Bread


1 cups flour cup yellow cornmeal cup rye flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 4 tablespoons butter 1 cups buttermilk1 1 cup whole wheat flour cup amaranth flour teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 tablespoon sugar

1) Preheat oven to 375F. 2) Grease a baking sheet. 3) Mix together dry ingredients, then cut in butter. 4) Pour in buttermilk1 and stir to a soft dough. 5) Shape into a round and place on greased cookie sheet. 6) Deeply mark a cross using a sharp knife across the loaf.

Alternatively, mix together 1 cup whole milk with 1 tablespoon white vinegar and cups sour cream, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Moms Homemade Blueberry Muffins


3 sticks butter 6 eggs teaspoons nutmeg teaspoons salt 2 cups milk 2 cups sugar 3 teaspoons vanilla 2 tablespoons baking powder 6 cups flour 2 pints blueberries

1) Preheat oven to 375F. 2) In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar. 3) Add the eggs one at a time to the butter/sugar mixture. 4) Mix together all dry ingredients. 5) Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the large bowl. 6) Fold in blueberries. 7) Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Grammies Crescent Rolls


1 cup, 2 tablespoons warm water cup sugar 3 eggs 6 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt cup butter2 1 tablespoon yeast

1) Cover dough and let rise for 90 minutes. 2) Divide dough into thirds. 3) Roll each third into 12 circle. 4) Spread butter onto the circles and cut each into 12-16 wedges. 5) Place on greased baking sheet. 6) Cover and let rise for another 60 minutes. 7) Preheat oven to 400F. 8) Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Or margarine.

Poor Mans Pizza


Crust cup flour teaspoon baking powder teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons milk 1 tablespoon oil Topping cups tomato sauce teaspoon oregano 1 dash garlic teaspoon thyme Grated Parmesan cheese

1) Preheat oven to 425F. 2) Combine crust ingredients and knead 10 times. 3) Roll and spread in greased pan. 4) Top with tomato sauce and spices. 5) Spread parmesan cheese over sauce. 6) Bake for 20 minutes.

*Honey Bread
2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt cup honey 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup milk teaspoon ginger

1) Preheat oven to 350F. 2) Beat 30 minutes with mixer. 3) Spoon into buttered loaf pan. 4) Bake 50 minutes. 5) Serve in thin slices with butter.

Grammies E.Z. Dumplings


1 cups flour teaspoons salt cup of milk 2 teaspoons baking powder 3 tablespoons butter

1) Combine dry ingredients. 2) Cut in the butter. 3) Stir in milk until just mixed. 4) Drop by small spoonfuls into a pot of boiling broth or hot stew. 5) Cook uncovered for 20 minutes, turning as needed.

Grammies Quick Coffee Cake


Cake 1 cups flour teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder cup butter teaspoon ginger 1 egg Streusel 2 tablespoons flour 5 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon nutmeg. 2 tablespoons butter 2 teaspoons cinnamon teaspoon vanilla extract teaspoon lemon rind teaspoon nutmeg cup sugar cups milk

1) Preheat oven to 375F. 2) Combine dry streusel ingredients. Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly. 3) Mix all cake ingredients and spread in greased pan. 4) Bake for 25 minutes.
