ELEVATE THE WOUND

Raise the bleeding area above the


level of the heart, if possible, to
reduce blood flow to the area.

EMERGENCIES
Apply direct pressure to the wound
with a clean cloth, sterile bandage,
or your hand, if necessary. Use a
dressing or gauze if available.

MONITOR THE PERSON


Keep a close eye on the person's
condition and be prepared to
perform CPR if necessary.
