The teachers are the creators themself, who will teach
their models.
Teaching is done via Zoom, with online video streaming.

Our aim is to show solidarity around the world,

promote Origami on a global scale.

To fully enjoy the marathon you have to understand the timetable in

order to know when a specific workshop will take place in your local
time.

Option 1: Mark only workshops you want to attend in your calendar

The event starts at 17/9/2022 at 00:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)

information. Please be aware of the [+] or [-] signs!
Add your GMT (or subtract, if yours in a [-] GMT) to the indicated

Difficulty Level
Our models range from simple to super-complex. You may try to fold
them all, but some may be too difficult for you to enjoy.
Please, make sure the level of difficulty fits your experience level.
You can join every workshop you’d like to, but please note that
workshops will not slow down for the slowest person in the class. This
simply cannot happen with such a big group of folders.
If the pace is too quick or you need a repeat, please write these requests
in the chat window during the workshop. Our moderators will constantly
check your remarks and depending on the number of requests balances
with the time allotted for the workshop, will ask the teacher to slow
down, repeat, etc.
Scale of Difficulty Levels:
Simple workshops last 25 to 30 minutes (although the time slot is one
hour) and the complex workshops last 100 to 110 minutes (in a two-hour
time slot).

varying from simple to complex. Try to fold them to determine your level
of folding.

There are no tutorials for this. If you folded
one of his models you know what to expect.
Prepare your Paper
Be prepared with the right paper and all other tools needed! Look at the
workshop page for the recommended paper type and size.
Some workshops require preparations in advance! The workshop will
start assuming you have done those preparations!!
For example, for workshop#7 you need to cut a pentagon. For workshop
#24 you'll need to precrease according to the provided cp.
To make it even more enjoyable and fun, equipped yourself with some
unique papers before the marathon. It is definitely possible to fold all
the models in this booklet from plain Kami paper, but taking this extra
step will help you make it even more beautiful. The paper types on the
model-pages are our own recommendations for the best suiting paper
for each model. We divided the papers into three categories: Thin,
Medium- thickness and Thick, and gave a specific paper suggestions for
each model in brackets.

Cyber Code of Conduct
1. It is important to the organizers that all participants ask questions
and make comments in the Q&A in a respectful way. Therefore, we
have established a Code of Conduct for all attendees to follow. If an
attendee violates the Code of Conduct, they will receive a warning.
A subsequent violation will result in being removed from the live
session. The attendee will still receive the recording of the class.
2. All teachers and moderators are able to see all comments and uestions
in the Q&A
3. No typing in CAPS LOCK. This is the equivalent of yelling which would
not be acceptable at an in-person event.
4. Do not share negative criticism of the teacher, teaching style or class.
It is not the time or place and would not be acceptable at an in-person
event.
5. Do not repeat questions if they are not answered right away. Many
questions are being asked and there is one moderator handling all the
questions.
6. Do not ask to have steps repeated multiple times. The teacher is going
at a certain pace in order to complete the class within the allotted
time period. He/she will be repeating steps twice. You will be getting
a link to the recording of this class if you are unable to keep up. These
questions and comments will just be dismissed.

We hope you enjoy folding with these 48 Origami artists from around
the world. Combined, the artists and organisers have spent more than a
thousand hours preparing and presenting these Origami designs for you.
It's not just the experience of folding with masters, it's also perpetual
exclusive access to their designs. We request you to kindly follow these
guidelines to respect the designers' intellectual property rights:

1. Please do not share the instructions with anyone.

2. Please do not make your own tutorial and upload to any social media.
3. Please attribute the designer wherever you show your rendition of the
model.
4. Please do not use any design for any commercial use.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

It's best to be sure about your rights than to, later, find out to have
unknowingly contributed to piracy.
The Organizers

Ilan Garibi
Started to fold at age 11. He became a creator at age 42. Today he is the founder
and CEO of Origamisrael. He also leads the Convention for Creators (CFC), and
this Marathon. He can fold metal and wood, and do this for a living, selling
his works of art. He teaches Origami for Teachers in Israel. He is the author of
Origami Tessellation for Everyone and Origami Modular for Everyone.

Nicolas Terry
Origami Artist & author - I create and manage . I'm the editor of
several origami books highlighting the talent of a new generation of origami
Masters. I create and manage several events like "Ultimate Origami Convention",
"Convention for Creators", "Origami World Marathon".

Guy Loel
An enthusiastic origamiist. A board member of OrigamIsrael.
Teaches Origami for Teachers in Israel.
Leads the OWM for the last 3 years.
The Team

Kathleen Sheridan
Kathleen is a Spanish teacher turned origami instructor living in St Paul, Minnesota.
Kathleen is in her 5th year as a Board member for Origami USA. She is a founding
member, Co-Chair and Host of Origami Connect, a program offering online classes
through Origami USA. She loves to combine her passions: traveling, speaking
Spanish and teaching origami.

Patty Grodner
I am a retired teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I learned origami from a
fellow teachers around 35 years ago and it has been my passion ever since. I love
folding practical models. I am on the Board of Directors for OrigamiUSA. I am
the lead person for PCOC, Origami Connect and the Scholarship programs with
OrigamiUSA. I have attended many origami conventions in the US and several
international conventions, including the BOS 50th Anniversary and the Tanteidan
Convention in Japan.

Guy Binyamin
Origami enthusiast. Has an unexplained passion for creating origami stories and
sceneries. Some models in this booklet were folded and photographed by Guy
Binyamin.
 Jaciara Grzybowski
I started folding in the ‘80s.
I’m self-taught and passionate about origami and its different techniques. But, in
later years, I got better at creating geometric shapes. With friends, we created
the First Origami Group in Brazil, DoBras - Dobras Brasil. This year, we are
celebrating the group’s 18th birthday. in June 2009, I co-authored with Glória
Aguiar, the Origami book “Dobrando Tea Bag e Mandalas”. In October 2010, I
launched my second Origami book “Papéis Mandalas e Flocos de Neve”. Lately,
I have dedicated myself to my firm. Where I give workshops, create sets for
television and theatre made in origami.

Aviv Keshet
26 years old, Fourth year student at the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem.

Omer Keshet
23 years old, studying for master's degree in mathematics in Tel Aviv University.
Has been folding many years, mostly geometric (modular/tesselation) models.
Among his designs are the Hexagonal Hydrangea, and some pentagonal stars.
