midnight snack.
If you mention the name of the food or drink, instead of the verbs “eat” and “drink”, we also use
“have”. I like to have mate in the morning. I don’t like to have sushi on weekdays.

When you want to write a verb, you have 2 options:

a) The verb is preceded by the person (and is conjugated)
b) The verb is connected by TO (and is in infinitive)

Time expressions:

A lapse is expressed FROM and TO. I work from 9 to 5. The store is open from 1 to 8.

If you only mention the starting time, you can use SINCE. I’m out of my house since 8AM. (in this
case, you don’t tell the other person what time you’ll be back).

If you only mention the ending time, you use UNTIL. I will be home until 1.

When the time is precise, we use the word AT. When the time is approximate, we use the word
AROUND. E.g.: He gets home around 4:30. (It would be strange to say “around 4:25”). / It costs
around 400 pesos (you wouldn’t say “around 395 pesos”)

Some verbs in English are one word (“eat”, “sleep”, “go”, etc.), and others are two words (“pick
up”, “let go”, “follow up”, “give back”, etc.). When you BREAK the verbs that are two words, the
person goes in the middle.

A bus picks him up.

I will pick the kids up from school tomorrow.

I can’t let them go before we finish the meeting.

We will follow it up next Monday.

They will give him his money back at the end of the month.

The person's language choices, including the use of time expressions and proper sequence of adverbs, demonstrate an intention to communicate clearly and effectively. Phrases such as "I usually have" or "my workday always starts with" provide clarity and structure, aiding both in personal organization and in explaining their routine to others, reflecting a deliberate communicative style .

The use of adverbs of frequency like 'usually,' 'rarely,' and 'twice a month' provides a nuanced understanding of the regularity and importance of different tasks. For instance, 'usually gets up at 7 AM' or 'twice a month my father comes home' allows readers to grasp the consistency and variation in daily routines, adding depth to the depiction of lifestyle patterns .

Extracurricular activities like taekwondo are integrated into the family's schedule on selected days at 6 PM and other days at 7 PM. The scheduling considers the completion of work at 6 PM, allowing just enough time for participation. With two sessions each at different times, flexibility is ensured for balancing other daily obligations like school and work .

Time expressions such as 'from' and 'to' are crucial for clearly delineating the start and end of various activities, thus establishing a precise timeline. In daily routines, these expressions help clarify the duration of specific tasks, such as schooling from 7:45 AM to 4 PM, ensuring each activity fits into the daily schedule seamlessly and avoids conflicts .

The described lifestyle structures the morning by prioritizing the preparation of children for school, which starts at 7 AM. Breakfast is typically delayed until after 8 AM, following the morning activities of preparing the children and watching the news. This indicates that the initial focus is on ensuring the children's readiness before attending to personal routines like breakfast .

The individual's time management strategies, such as starting the day with a structured morning routine and scheduling multiple meetings, highlight an effort to maintain a balance between work and personal life. Finishing work by 6 PM and making time for personal commitments like taekwondo with children twice a week suggests an emphasis on ensuring personal time and maintaining family bonds, which are crucial for work-life balance .

Meetings play a pivotal role in structuring the individual's workday, starting with a mandatory daily meeting and including more than four or five throughout the day. This frequent interaction can enhance productivity by aligning team goals and addressing issues in real-time. However, given the high number of meetings, it might encroach upon time for focused individual work, potentially reducing overall productivity if not managed efficiently .

Managing a work-from-home setup with family responsibilities can present challenges such as difficulty in maintaining focus due to frequent interruptions, scheduling issues, and blurring work-life boundaries. The presence of children coming home and requiring attention, as well as managing meal times while still being engaged in work activities, underscores the need for effective time management to mitigate these conflicts .

Structural language elements like the use of present simple tense and adverbs of frequency are used to express habitual actions. Phrases such as 'usually prepare,' 'rarely have,' and 'always starts' provide clarity in understanding the regularity of actions, effectively communicating the routine's predictability and stability essential for interpreting the commitment to daily patterns .

Twice-a-month visits from the father positively impact the individual's routine by providing a break from solitude and adding a social element that involves cooking and conversing. This can contribute to emotional well-being by offering familial support and companionship, which are often beneficial for mental health, counteracting the isolation of working alone at home most days .
