SCENE 1 (MONTAGUE’S CASTLE)

(In the living room)
Romeo’s father: No, No, no…Lord Gracious…I have no other words to express my
displeasure over this matter. In fact, this should not be happening in our clan. Romeo,
you don’t have my consent. Never and ever. Period.
Romeo: But father, how could you put yourself first before your child’s happiness? I
deserve to choose my own life and whoever I want to spend my whole life with. I’m
sorry father and mother. I have made up my mind since the last 100 years, I will still
marry Juliet. The love of my life.
Romeo’s mother: How could you go against your father? You choose Juliet over
your own family? Oh my handsome young man. Look at her with your big, bright red
eyes, you will notice all the excess fat and lumps she has all over her. She is
enormous, she can’t even fly!!!..Have u ever met any vampires that incapable of
flying? Don’t put a disgrace to our family Romeo.
Romeo: Enough!! I had enough of it!!! I’m tired of your blithering (senseless talk)!
Stop preaching me with your words!!!
Romeo’s Father: (slaps Romeo) How dare you speak in such a rude manner?! She is
your mother, have you blindly deceived by one’s appearance? Think about the family
son!
Romeo: She is not that kind of girl that you think of. You can’t just judge her
behaviour by the looks of her. I’ve made my decision, father. You can’t stop me from
this!
(Romeo slams the door and walks away, leaving both parents behind)

SCENE 2: (THE BALCONY SCENE)

Juliet : Romeo, Romeo, Romeo. Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name. And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.

Look Romeo, I can fly!! ( She starts singing) .

‘I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky. I feel it every night and day. Spread
my wings and fly away’.

Juliet’s mother : Oh stop it Juliet. Stop dreaming. You know that we can’t fly.

Juliet: But why mother? You told me a bedtime story when I was young. If an
elephant can fly, why can’t i?!! Don’t discourage me mother. I’m pretty much
fabulous of myseeeelllllfff. Look at me mother, Look at me!!! Can’t you see how
beautiful I am? (Staring while moving forward to her mother 2x )

Juliet’s father: (clears her throat) Juliet oh Juliet… Can’t you stop fantasizing? We
are indeed the clan that ‘fly on the ground’. We will be a laughingstock to the royals if
you keep on like this. (Comfort Juliet) Come here my darling. There is something that
I wanted to tell you.
Juliet: (excitement drives in) Is it about my marriage, Father? Can I marry him?
Juliet’s father: There you go again. Must I always teach you how to behave
maturely? Think about your future darling, there is something inside you. A gift. You
were born special, the bloodline of the gifted, the one and only. I hope you will unveil
the gift one day.
Juliet: Thank you father, you are the best!
Juliet’s mother: There! There!! There !! You see that!!! You are spoiling her way too
much!!!
Juliet’s father: (Sigh) Honey... Are you saying that you are jealous of my teaching
skills?
Juliet’s mother: Excuse me? I’m jealous with your teaching skills? Oh come on old
man, you are not worthy to be jealous with.
Juliet’s father: Oh come on old lady, your teaching skills are way too old-fashioned.
Being utterly misjudged by someone who does not even know about true love, I shall
refrain myself from now. Take care honey . (The father walks away from the scene)
Juliet’s mother: Cheeky old fella…. (Sneers at Juliet’s father)
(Juliet decided to take a stroll to the Garden)

SCENE 3: (DARK GARDEN)

Romeo: My parents won’t understand my feelings for Juliet. (Thinking) I must find a
way to meet her. (Feels her presence nearby) Is that Juliet? (Quickly hide behind the
bushes and suddenly a twig snapped)
Juliet: Romeo, is that you? I know you are here somewhere. Please let me have a
glance of you. I’m dying to meet you.
Romeo: Oh Juliet. It seems that fate has destined our relationship. I’m glad that we
are able to meet in this beautiful place. Can you feel the crispness in the lovely air that
fills the dazzled night?
Juliet: Oh Romeo, you are romantic just the way you are. (Overly reaction)

Romeo: And you are just as stunning as you are. (Overly reaction)
Juliet: Romeo…(eyes stare at him)
Romeo: Juliet…(eyes stare at her)
The music starts and both of them start dancing.
(In a dark corner of the Garden, Mercutio appears out of nowhere)
Mercutio: (clapping hands while laughing sinisterly) Well, well, well, look who
we’ve got here. The most talked about star-crossed lovers.
Romeo: Huh? Mercutio? It's been awhile my friend!! How are you lately…?
Mercutio: (point his sword towards Romeo suddenly)
Romeo: What are you doing my friend??
Mercutio: What am I doing? Yeah.. What am I doing? (Points nearer to the neck)
Should you’d be asking such a foolish question?
Juliet: (shocked) No Mercutio..
Romeo: Wow. Hold on my friend. No discussion should be made at the point of a
sword.
Mercutio: I’ve been waiting for this moment Romeo. Don’t act like you know
nothing.
Romeo: I don't understand what you mean. You are not being yourself. …
Mercutio: Enough with your words...Be a good man and take out your sword…
Romeo: Just like good ol’ times (unsheathes sword and points at Mercutio) Stay back
my love, let me settle this peasant.. . (Juliet nods and move back)
Mercutio: HAHAHA!! (x2) Come on hero, prove to me that you are worthy to Juliet..
Romeo: (suddenly realized Mercutio’s intention) What…..? (Sword fight begins)
Mercutio: What’s the matter? Your skills are getting rusty…
Romeo: (is having a hard fight and slim chance to win over Mercutio) arghhh…
(Accidently leaves wide opening for Mercutio, thrusted by him into the chest)
arghhhhhhhhhhh…… (sword drops down)
Mercutio: So long my friend, hahahahaha!!! (walks away from the scene)
Juliet: Rom...e..o? ROMEO!!!! ( crying uncontrollably) Romeo...can you hear me,
Romeo?
Romeo: (faint voice, coughs blood, persistent heavy breathing) Don’t cry my love,
your tears are too precious to be wasted away.

Juliet: I need you Romeo!! Stay with me Romeo!! Don’t you dare disappear from my
face!!!! STAY WITH ME !!!
Romeo: Sor..r….[Link].. (faint smiles, hands down, head sway to one side, closed eyes
with a weak smile)
Juliet: Romeooooooooo…..

SCENE 4: (ROMEO’S CHAMBER)

(Witch Doctress of MCI enter the room, comfort Juliet and try their best to revive
Romeo)
Witch Doctress M : (humming with oddly understandable chants while holding
coconuts)
Witch Doctress C : (reciting her mantra, gripping talisman)
Witch Doctress I : (reciting her spells and matra)
(Three of them shake their head, signalling failure to revive Romeo)
(Witch Doctress of MCI discuss among themselves another solution to save Romeo
and come up with one last resort. )
Witch Doctress of MCI: To revive Romeo, you must sacrifice a special thing of your
own…
Juliet: I will do whatever it takes as long Romeo comes back to life.
Witch Doctress of MCI: Are you sure about this? There is no guaranteed that he will
awake once again. It is very risky for a vampire to do a transfusion in such grave
situation. You are being warned.
Juliet: I’m ready to face the risk. Let me do it. I can’t live without him. To me, he is
my TRUE LOVE!!!
(Juliet prepares blood for the transfusion, showing pain expressions in the process)
(Juliet holds Romeo’s head and let him drink her own blood, the kind of blood that
can cure any kind diseases but only towards her loved ones. Romeo shows no
response, still appears pale white, cold and emotionless lying on the bed)
Juliet: WHY!!!!???!! I’ve done everything I can … Please… Give me my Romeo…..
Witch Doctress of MCI: Our deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one, we
apologize for our incapability to resurrect him.
Juliet: Leave me alone...please ( crying )
(Witch Doctress of MCI leave the scene)

Juliet: (Out of despair, Juliet chants and moans her misery) Come, gentle night come,
loving, black-browed night; Give me my Romeo; and, when I shall die, take him and
cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine, that all the
world will be in love with night..( reaches out to Romeo’s sword and tries to slit her
throat).

FINAL SCENE: (THE SURPRISE )

Romeo : Julieetttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt……..( shouting Juliet’s name while trying to reach to
her)
Juliet : Oh Romeo, you are alive. You came back for me. (crying)
Suddenly, a pregnant lady appears out of nowhere.
Rosaline : Romeo?...( looking puzzled)
Romeo : Rosaline??? (looking stunned and shivered)( suddenly remembers his one-night-
stand with his first lover, Rosaline).
Juliet : Romeo, who’s this? (Clenching the sword).
Romeo : Aa…eeee…(speechless and ready to escape).

Juliet chases Romeo with the sword and wants him to be dead once again.
