I am Jianne Pearl Fiel De Torres, 20 years old. I finished my degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education
Major in Filipino at Western Mindanao State University last April, 2018. During my college days, I am a
Dean’s lister and a recipient of various awards. Besides, I was an active KAFIL officer and a College
Student Council Secretary of the College of Teacher Education from A.Y 2016-2017 & A.Y 2017-2018. As
a student leader, I organized and conducted Art of Questioning, Lesson Plan Writing & Teaching
Strategies Seminar-Workshop, Leadership & Peace Training, love drives and fun-filled activities for the
students of the College. These seminars, trainings and workshops that I have the honor to conducted,
facilitated and attended taught me on how to be passionate, time-wised, and to listen to the needs of
the student body of our college. It became my training ground and an eye-opener to be a better version
of myself as a person and as a teacher. In addition, extension services, helping the college for the
accreditation & other student-related activities, Field Studies and the practice teaching gives me insights
and knowledge on how to deal with students effectively and teaching them on how to become a
responsible student and a proud member of our country which is the main goal of the Filipino subject.
My exposure to the teaching profession has prepared me so much to embark the real world of work-
teaching.
