Task A - Set up a presentation
Create a folder in your work area, and name it shapes.
Open your presentation graphics application and use a simple template with a white background.
Use a title slide, and in the title box type the words Shapes and centre it horizontally.
In the sub-title box enter your name and the date with the same alignment as the title.
Save your presentation with the name introshapes1 in your shapes folder.
Format the title Shapes to a 54 point sans serif font with a dark blue colour.
Format the sub-title using the same font as the title, with a 28 point font size. Use a lighter blue colour.
Insert the image shapes1 between the title and the sub-title.
Resize the image so that it is 10 cm high, maintain the aspect ratio.
Create a second slide for inserting text, use the title Introduction.
Make sure that the style is the same as your title slide, the size is 48 point and colour is the same as the title on slide 1.
Open the text file shapestext1 and copy the content into the main text section of slide 2.
Format the imported text so that the colour, size and style of font are the same as the sub-title on slide 1.
Save your presentation as introshapes2 in your shapes folder.
Insert a duplicate of slide 2 as slide 3 and change the slide title to read How to insert shape.
Delete the contents and insert the following text in its place:
To insert a shape:
1. Select the Insert tab, then click the Shapes command in the Illustrations group. A drop-down menu of shapes will appear.
2. Select the desired shape.
3. Click and drag in the desired location to add the shape to the slide.
Resize the text to 26 point sans serif using the same colour as the previous subtitles
Save your presentation with the name introshapes3 in your shapes folder.
Insert a duplicate of slide 3 as slide 4 and change the slide title to read How to modify shape.
Delete the contents and insert the following text in its place:
Modifying a shape or text box:
When you click a shape or text box, handles will appear that let you manipulate the shape. There are several types of handles.
Sizing handles: Click and drag the sizing handles until the shape or text box is the desired size. You can use the corner sizing handles to change
the height and width at the same time.
Rotation handle: Click and drag the rotation handle to rotate the shape.
Yellow handles: Some shapes have one or more yellow handles that can be used to customize the shape. For example, with the sun shape, you can
change the proportions of the shape.
In addition to resizing, customizing, and rotating shapes, you can align, order, and group them.
Save your presentation with the name introshapes4 in your shapes folder.
Insert a new slide as slide 5.
Use a title slide, and in the title box type the words Formatting shapes and text boxes.
Make sure that the style, size and colour are the same as the previous slide and centre it horizontally.
Insert the image shapes2 below the title.
Resize the image so that it is 15 cm wide, maintain the aspect ratio.
Save your presentation with the name introshapes5 in your shapes folder.

Task B - Create a graphical image
Create an image similar to that below, using a selection of auto shapes, within the application you are using.
Position this to the center of on a new slide.
Group the auto shapes to create a single image.
Inside a small text box underneath the picture saying:
Print this picture to take home
Size the font at 12 point, sans serif and black.
Save your presentation with the name introshapes6 in your shapes folder.
