(AC-S05) Week 05 - Task: Assignment - Talking about what I am studying
Good evening, today we will develop the assignment "Job Interview".
A.- Hello Manuel and Mabel, where are you going in such a hurry?
B.- Hi Abraham, I'm going home to write my CV, because I would like to apply to the
new job at ENGIE. It´s a little bit stressful because I don’t have too much time to think
how to do it.
C.- Hi Abraham, I'm going to class quickly because I have an exhibition of a product
I've been studying with my group.
A.- What career are you studying Manuel?
B.- I am studying Electronic Engineering, because I would like to learn about the
controllers development, that it´s trendy these days.
A.- And you Mabel, what career are you studying?
C.- I am studying Industrial Engineering, I would like to work in food industry, because
it is what I like.
A.- Wow, that's great guys, both careers are very interesting and I think that the profile
needed for both is to have several technical and interpersonal skills.
C.- Yes, when I finish my Industrial Engineering degree, I would like to work in food
processing plants like ALICORP or Kimberly Clark to be able to develop all my skills
and knowledge.
A.- And what do you think are the skills they would request in those companies, Mabel?
C.- Well, I think that communication and creative thinking are important, because I will
work with other professionals to align the industry processes.
A.- And in your case Manuel, when you finish your career, where have you thought
working at?
B.- When I finish my career, I think I will apply to a job at Hewlett-Packard (HP) to be
able to see the improvement of the informatics computer design, because I found out
that this company has an area of technological development and well, I think I could
develop my skills.
A.- And what skills do they request to work in Hewlett-Packard (HP)?
B.- Well, teamwork, adaptability and effective communication are the most important
skills that they will allow me to develop in that job.
C.- And you Abraham, what career are you studying at UTP?
A.- I am studying electrical engineering
B.- Excellent, it is a good career
C.- It is a good career and has a lot of professional development.

A.- Of course, as soon as I finish my degree, I would apply to ENEL or to a
thermoelectric power plant that are located at south of Lima.
C.- It sounds very interesting, and what skills do you think they will request to you to be
able to work in that company?
A.- I have found out that I have a relative who works at FENIX POWER at Chilca, who
hire personnel with critical thinking and adaptability. Because the work is constant and
you have to be alert.
B.- Well, guys, it has been a pleasure to see and talk to you again. But it is getting late
and you have to study, next week you have mid-term exams.
A.- That's right, take care, get in touch.
C.- Goodbye, all the best for you.
