What are the main parts of a plant?
The leaves grow from the plant branches. They use
sunlight to transform water and carbon dioxide into
nutrients (photosynthesis). They also release oxyden into
the air.

The stem is usually long and grows above the ground.


The plant's nutrients circulate inside the stem. It also
has secondary stems, called branches.

The roots grow underground and fix the


plant in one place. They absorb water and
minerals from the soil.
