1) Are left joins faster than inner joins?

2) When would you choose a left join over an inner join? 

3) Let's say you have employee table with First_name, last_name, salary and department as columns (refer
attached image). How can we get the minimum, maximum and Average salaries.

4) From the same table, How can we get the min, max and Average salary for each department?

5) From the same table, how to get variance and standard deviation of salary for each department?

6) If you see the output, there are many values after decimal for Insurance department, how to get rid of
that in output.

7) Combine First_name and last_name as single column from the same table separated by a space.

8) How to get employee details from the table whose first name contains alphabet 'a'.

For question 4, we can also solve it using window function.

SELECT AVG(salary) OVER(PARTION BY salary) as average_salary

“Walk me through your resume.”

The main issue with this question is that it sounds suspiciously straightforward. 

But going through the entire resume from top to bottom does not work as it’ll take up too much time.

So what do recruiters really want to know?

So, let me share how I answered this and feel free to share your answer at the comment below

1) Start off with my education background. I would not get into details here, this is just a natural starting
point.

2) Move on to my professional history and relevant projects I have worked on. Keep this super brief. (Will
relate my competencies and connect them with the role that I applied)

3) Finish with my career goals and how the job I've applied for is the natural next step for me.

It is also important to take care of what not to say instead of what to say.

So here the COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID WHILE ANSWERING

1) Don’t ramble on: Be concise and relevant, your whole answer really shouldn’t last more than 2-3
minutes.

2) Don’t talk about irrelevant experiences.

3) Don’t go negative for your former work experiences.

At a school, there are two tables:

Students

StudentID, StudentName, Address, ParentName, Parentemail

Grades

StudentID, TestDate, Subject, Grade

The Principal wants to send emails to parents of students who have done poorly in at least one subject in
the last 6 months.

Make necessary assumptions and solve the data problem in SQL with Joins and without Joins.

Hey Everyone!

Can anyone tell me the solution for the question number 6. (asked by Sachin D N. 1st)

Display the year between 2000 and 2020 which did not has even a single movie released.

Here is my solution for this question:

Select year(release_date)

from movie

where movie_id !=1 and release_date between '2000/01/01' and '2020/12/31'

But he is saying that this is not correct. I have suggested few more ways but nothing is working. If anyone
knows the solution, Please write down in comment.
