Measurement Methods in Civil Engineering

The document describes measurement methods and units for site investigation and development works. It provides definitions of work items and outlines how each will be measured, generally by area, volume, length, number of tests/samples, weight, or period of time. For example, topographic survey is measured by area, machine excavation by volume, boring by depth, and tide/current/wave data by period of time observed. The level of detail in the measurement guidelines supports accurate billing and payment for the defined work items.
