 The Scrum Master is accountable for establishing Scrum
as defined in the Scrum Guide.
 Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating, coaching and
being a servant-leader.
 The Scrum Master must be respected as authority on
scrum (not the people)
 Scrum master is responsible for effectiveness of Scrum
Team.

The Scrum Master serves Product Owner in several ways


o Helping find techniques for effective product goal definition and Product
backlog management
o Helping the Scrum team understand well the need for clear and concise
product backlog
o Helping establish empirical product planning for a complex environment.
o Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
o The Product Owner might ask the Scrum Master to facilitate events as
requested or as needed.
o Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone
on the Scrum Team as well as possible.

The Scrum Master serves the organization in several ways


o Leading, training and coaching the organization for its Scrum adaptation
o Planning , advising Scrum implementation with the organization
o Helping employee , stakeholders understand and follow empirical
approach for complex work
o Removing impediments between stakeholders and Scrum Teams

 The Scrum Master helps those outside the team understand which of their interactions
with Scrum team are helpful.

Product Owner Role
o Develop and explicitly communicating the
Product Goal to all
o Create and communicate Product Backlog Items
o Regularly keep Ordering product backlog items
based upon value, size and priority
o Ensuring product backlog is transparent, visible
and understood

 The Product Owner is accountable for maximizing the value of the


product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team.
 The Product Owner is also accountable for effective Product Backlog
management.
 Product Owner is accountable for effective Product Backlog
management, communicating the Product Goal, ordering the Product
Backlog, and making the Product Backlog transparent.
 For product owner to succeed, the entire organization must respect their
decisions
 Product owner is one person and not committee
 Those wanting to change product backlog can do so by convincing the
product owner.
 PO is responsible for assessing and communicating progress towards a
goal or release, at the least, every Sprint in the Sprint Review.

o Making each of developers accountable as professionals

 Developers are responsible for building the increment and self-


managing
 Developer must be respected and trusted on development
decision
 Developers are the people in the Scrum Team that are committed
to creating any aspect of a usable Increment each Sprint.
 It is self-organizing team as gives creativity, commitment, and self-
accountability
 The Developers conforms to definition of Done
