Performance Task

Name: Kurth A. Gloria Grade and Section: Grade 7 – Angels


English -7: Communication

SUMMARY:

This activity provided me with so much fun, knowledge and great learning experiences. It led
me become more driven and motivated in achieving my goals in life. At first, it was quite
challenging for me to look for an interviewee since my parents are both busy and I have no idea
of any person who is suitable for the topic about successful person. Luckily, our neighbour Sir
Rad Llames passed through our veranda and I humbly asked him if he have a free time and can
be my interviewee for the task and thankfully he said yes. So, I ask for his vacant time and set a
schedule. As my interviewee affirmed my request, I then prepared my questions, materials and
place where we can have our interview.
During the interview I was so nervous because I have no Idea what or where to start. I was
fortunate enough to have Sir Rad Llames as my interviewee and mentor at the same time. He
made me feel relax and comfortable and even allow to enjoy the rest of the process. Everything
went well as I have also kept in mind the thing I have learned during our live discussion and put
them all into action making the entire process smooth and wonderfully done.
This experience was one of the best. Truly, communication is power. It is our way to get
connected and understand each other. Our ways of communicating can mean differently to
other people. That is why it is important to speak properly, become aware of body language,
hand gesture and the pitch, tone, intonation and volume of our voice. Communication is basic
key to a better connection and understanding and it is a powerful tool to become a successful
person. As what Sir Rad have said that communication skills is your power and your voice.
When you speak up, you tell the world who you are, so we have to develop that skill and use
them to empower ourselves.
It is with grateful heart that I thank my teacher for all the lessons and effort she exerted for the
dedication and expertise. Thank you and God bless you po Ma’am.
