a ‘clearspace’ has been defined. The clearspace is the

than the minimum clear space shown.

The clearspace is defined by the height of the ‘i’ in ‘Wind’.

Minimum Size
Ideally
To ensure the text and elements of the logo are
always legible the logo should never be reproduced 10mm
at a size smaller than the 10mm height as shown.

Misuse of Logo
No elements of the logo should be changed or altered
in any way.

Fonts

The font family of Calibri forms the basis of the WestWind brand.

Calibri is available in several weights. Light is used for headings and body copy, but
Regular can be substituted if readability is an issue. Bold is used to make text more
prominent, such as contact details or emphasise a word in the header, the rule for the
header is to have the Light font first then the Bold font to highlight words. The Italic
variants can be used for emphasis.

This font is a default font and should be available on all Windows and Mac systems.

Imagery

Images
Imagery is an important part of the WestWind brand as it adds vibrancy, reflects the
Australian landscape and shows the positive impact of WestWind Energy. All images
should convey at least two of the following qualities: sustainability, Australia, nature,
happiness, technical, renewable, communication and helpful. Images should always
be in colour. When the logo will be placed over an image, the image shouldn’t be
busy to keep a clean look and to allow maximum logo readability.

Style
Images of individuals should never be taken from above. The focus should be on the
positive emotion. Images of multiple people should be happy and show interaction.

Size and Positioning

Since imagery is an important part of the WestWind brand it must be a prominent
element in all branding. WestWind material should be visual and engaging to get the
brand’s message across effectively, this means that all images should be as large as
the layout allows, while ensuring adequate white space for text and other elements
for an overall clean, fresh, professional look. Please ensure that the position of the
image creates balance between it and the rest of the content.

7
Graphic Elements

Coloured blocks
Headings and content can be placed in coloured blocks to highlight it as important,
these are usually placed at the top of the layout next to image/s in blocks of the
same height, but can be used for call out boxes or break out boxes. Please ensure the
colours are either the brand green or blue.

Underline
The underline element is a handdrawn style line inspired by the logo. It gives the
headings an element of nature and an organic feel to balance out the corporate sans
serif fonts and colours. The underline should be the same length as the heading text
and should be placed a vowel-height below the text.

The colour of the line should match the heading colour, for example green or
blue when used for headings on a white background, white should be used on a
coloured block. A blue version of this element can be used to frame pullquotes and
as a content divider.

Spacing

Heading
a
Windmill
The windmill element is taken from the logo itself and can be used as a graphic
branding element to emphasise the brand and show a visual representation of what
WestWind do.

Common questions

Powered by AI

Color is strategically used in WestWind Energy's branding to reinforce identity and ensure clarity across media. The brand color palette includes specific Pantone, CMYK, RGB, and HTML values for consistency: green (Pantone 376 U), blue (Pantone 2925 U), and grey (Pantone Black C 70%). Logos use these colors to adapt to different backgrounds effectively—full color for most uses, mono for simplicity, and reverse for dark settings. Fonts and graphic elements, such as underline and windmill graphics, follow the brand's color scheme to enhance visibility and brand recognition, ensuring each document visually aligns with the company's innovative and clean energy ethos .

The Calibri font family underpins the typography of WestWind's brand materials, ensuring consistency and clarity. Calibri Light is used for headings and body text, while Calibri Regular may be substituted if readability is compromised. For emphasis, Calibri Bold is used, particularly in headers where the last word(s) are bolded for emphasis. Italic variants offer additional emphasis when needed. The use of Calibri ensures that the typography is consistent across different platforms, given its availability on both Windows and Mac systems. This strategic use strengthens the brand's professional presentation across materials such as reports, PowerPoint presentations, and business cards .

WestWind Energy effectively communicates its vision of using clean energy and innovation through its cohesive integration of design and text elements. The consistent use of brand fonts, colors, and the Windmill element across various documents—a strategic fusion of text and design—conveys professionalism and brand consistency. Graphic elements such as hand-drawn underlines and well-positioned logos reinforce the brand's commitment to innovation and clarity. The visual design, paired with a clear, bold expression of their vision statement, ensures that the brand message is consistently communicated and easily identifiable .

The WestWind logo is designed to adapt to different backgrounds while maintaining its visibility and effectiveness. The full colour version should be used wherever possible. For dark backgrounds, the reverse (white) version is appropriate. The mono (black) version can be deployed for light backgrounds where colour is not permitted, such as faxes. Additionally, the logo should never be reproduced at a size smaller than 10mm in height, and a clear space around the logo, defined by the height of the 'i' in 'Wind', should be maintained to maximize its visual impact .

The WestWind PowerPoint template enhances brand messaging by adhering to established style guide principles that ensure visual consistency. Titles use Calibri Light and Bold fonts, with strategic emphasis for key words, supported by a branded line element underneath. Subtitles are all uppercase in Calibri Regular, colored in green for brand alignment. Images used in presentations are subjected to guidelines that maintain clarity and visual engagement, employing brand colors (blue and green) to segment content and break up image collages. Graphs employ brand colors to support visual consistency, and logos are positioned for maximum identity reinforcement without overshadowing content .

WestWind Energy's brand imagery is meant to convey qualities such as sustainability, Australian identity, nature, happiness, technical prowess, renewable energy, communication, and helpfulness. These images should always be in colour and aim to be as large as the layout allows, ensuring ample white space for a clean and professional look. The positioning should create a balance between the image and the rest of the content, focusing on positive emotion in images, particularly when involving people. Images should also be appropriately chosen for clarity when the logo is overlaid, ensuring a non-busy background for maximum logo readability .

Imagery in WestWind Energy's promotional materials featuring individuals should be composed to reflect positive emotions and interactions, aligning with the brand's objectives of sustainability and community engagement. Images should show individuals involved in active, happy interactions without being shot from above, emphasizing equality and connection. The background should support, not overshadow, the subjects to maintain a clean, professional aesthetic in line with brand guidelines. Such compositions reinforce the brand's identity and its core values of communication and helpfulness in the context of clean energy .

Graphic elements, such as the underline and windmill, play distinct roles in WestWind's brand identity. The hand-drawn underline aligns with the natural and organic feel of the brand, balancing the corporate sans serif fonts. It should match the heading length and align a vowel-height below the text, with its color reflecting the heading's color. The windmill element from the logo symbolizes WestWind's core business and can be used graphically to emphasize branding. Its use must ensure these elements create a harmonious visual identity without overwhelming the content or deviating from brand colors .

WestWind Energy's business cards follow specific design rules to maintain brand coherence. Fonts used are Myriad Pro in varying weights and sizes, with specific kerning adjustments, ensuring text clarity and aesthetic consistency. The card design incorporates elements from the brand style guide, such as the geographic color scheme (brand green and grey) and imagery that reflects brand values. The contact details and name layout need precise font sizes and colors for a professional look, enhancing readability. Overall, the card should embody the corporate image and communicate effectively, aligning with the brand's visual and color themes .

Graphics and logos within WestWind Energy's report templates adhere to strict rules to ensure brand identity alignment. The logo should be placed in the top right corner of the cover and internal pages, maintaining consistency. The underline graphic element is used to underscore main titles, borrowed from the PowerPoint style. Background color can be blue for a corporate look or green for a natural aesthetic. Tables incorporate a brand blue border for uniformity, and the Windmill graphic element subtly reinforces brand identity without disrupting content readability or focus .
