If the DENR-CENRO does not declare the land as a relocation site, residents may continue to face insecurity regarding their land tenure, making them vulnerable to eviction or further claims from other parties. This uncertainty could lead to social and legal conflicts, requiring continuous intervention by local government, potentially straining their resources and affecting trust in local authorities' ability to safeguard community interests .

Furnishing copies of the resolution to various offices is significant as it ensures that all relevant government bodies are informed and can act accordingly. This step is crucial for transparency and proper administrative procedure, potentially accelerating the process of land allocation and minimizing bureaucratic delays. It helps in creating a documented trail that can be referenced in future disputes or audits, thereby promoting accountability and increasing the likelihood of successful implementation of the resolution .

The resolution benefits the relocated residents by requesting the DENR-CENRO to officially declare the ten-hectare land in Sitio Agusuhin as a relocation site. This declaration would enable the residents occupying these areas to claim the land as their own, potentially reducing future conflicts and giving them formal ownership and the ability to apply for necessary documents .

The main reason behind the relocation of residents to Sitio Agusuhin was to make way for developments in the area. The resolution aims to address this by formally requesting the land to be declared a relocation site and awarded to these residents, providing them with security of tenure and potentially reducing the risk of further displacement as well as preventing external ownership claims .

Local community leaders play a crucial role in addressing land disputes by actively advocating for the residents' rights and seeking official recognition of their settlement. The Barangay Cawag resolution illustrates how local leaders like Hon. Crisostomo F. Mayor Jr. and others utilize legislative tools to formally request government intervention, highlighting their function as mediators and representatives of community interests in governmental processes .

The primary goal of the Barangay Council of Cawag is to provide proper shelter to its residents and ensure that they have land which they can call their own. The residents of Sitio Agusuhin faced challenges in claiming ownership of their relocation area as other parties attempted to claim ownership of these areas, making the situation contentious. The residents demonstrated determination to fight for their homes amidst these claims .

The procedural steps observed include presenting the matter during a regular session, where Hon. Crisostomo F. Mayor Jr., supported by all other members, moved the resolution. The unanimous approval of the resolution indicates that the decision-making process in local governance involves collective agreement and consensus-building among council members. It also reflects a structured approach where resolutions are formally documented and certified by the Barangay Secretary, emphasizing transparency and accountability .

The resolution emphasizes the connection between housing policy and social stability by addressing the need for secure land ownership for relocated residents, which minimizes conflicts and promotes community integration. By advocating for the land to be declared as a relocation site, the resolution seeks to solidify permanent ties to the land for these residents, thus contributing to their social stability and cohesion in the community .

The unanimous approval of the resolution can strongly influence the outcome of the request to the DENR-CENRO by demonstrating a unified stance and collective community backing, enhancing the legitimacy and urgency of the request. This consensus might pressure the DENR-CENRO to prioritize the request, facilitating quicker administrative action due to its reflection of strong local governmental and community support for the resolution's objectives .

The Barangay Council of Cawag expects the DENR-CENRO to officially declare the ten-hectare land in Sitio Agusuhin as a relocation site and award the land to the relocated residents occupying the area. This role is crucial in resolving the ownership issues and providing the residents with secure land tenure, thereby formalizing their settlement and preventing future disputes .
