The Emperor's New Clothes Story

Three weaver con artists claim they can create the finest clothes in the world for the vain Emperor, but when the Emperor parades before his subjects with his supposed new clothes, a child shouts that the Emperor is naked, revealing that the weavers created no clothes at all and the Emperor's ministers were too afraid to admit they saw nothing. The Emperor learns not to be so vain and gives his clothes to the poor.

Emperor: Viki

3 Weavers: Romča, Adam, Tom

2 Ministers: Emilka, Manča

Messenger: Luky

3 Courtiers: Ela, Domča, Marlenka

Narrators: We´ll tell you the story. Listen!

Once long ago there was an emperor. Look at him! He liked nothing but his dresses.
He was so proud.

Emperor: Look at me! I´m so beautiful! I´m the prettiest!

Courtiers: Ohhh! Look at him!

He is so nice!

Look at his beautiful dress!

Children: Ohh, his dress is so nice…..

Ministers: Sir, there is a war!!!

We need you in the war!

Emperor: What? War? I don´t like the war. I like clothes.

Narrators: Oh yes. The emperor only liked his clothes.

One day the weavers arrived to the palace.

They were false!

Weavers: (to the messenger) Hello! Can we go to the emperor?

We are the weavers.

We can make the most beautiful clothes in the world!

Messenger: Ok.
Sir, these men want to talk to you. They make clothes!

Courtiers: Can you hear that? The most beautiful clothes in the world! I want to see it!

Narrators: The weavers went to their room. They were so happy! One day, two days, three
days….and…..look, what happened:

Minister: Let´s go and have a look at the clothes!

Knock knock!

Weavers: Who is that? The clothes are almost ready. Ha ha ha 

Ministers: We are the ministers! We want to see the clothes!

Weavers: Ok. Come in.

MInisters: Oh, I can´t see anything! But I can´t say that!!!!

Oh, I can´t see anything! But I can´t say that!!!!

It is beautiful!!!! Beautiful!

Narrator: So they said the new dress is amazing. The emperor was ready to see and wear it.

Emperor: I can´t wait! The parade is today!

Weavers: So, here is your new dress. Look at the fine materiál and colours! It is very special.

Emperor: Oh! I can´t see anything! No!

Well, it is beautiful.

Weavers: You can put it on now, sir! People want to see you in your new dress!

Courtiers: The parade starts!

Children: Oh, we want to see the emperor!

Emperor: I must go. Smile!

Ministers: Bravo!!

Courtiers: Bravo!!!

Everybory: Bravo, Emperor!


Children: What? He is naked! He has no clothes!

People: Do you hear the children! Chldren are right!! He is naked!

Narrators: The empererof finished his parade. It was so bad for him. But he was no more proud
and he gave all his best clothes to the poor.
