I have here a table with 3 columns (person, things


and animals). There are word lists beside the tables.
If you believe this word is an animal, thing, or person,
put it in the appropriate column.

After our activity earlier, can anyone tell in the class Noun is the name of person, things, animals and
what noun is? also the events and place.
Very good. So, for today lesson we will tackle the
kinds of nouns but first we will focus on the proper
and common nouns.

Any idea what is proper noun? Proper nouns are used to names SPECIFIC
person, place, things, animals and events. It
refers to types of noun without being specific.
Example: Your name, birthday, address, and your
school

How about common nouns?


Common nouns are used to names person,
place, things, animals and events in GENERAL.
And it starts with capital Letter.
Example: teacher, food, crayons, and books

Do you understand the difference of the two class?

Okay before we go to our next activity, can some of


you give at least 2 proper and common nouns. - Jose Rizal and Sinigang

For your 1st activity. I have here a table again but this
time it’s only two columns (Proper and Common

words given and identify if its proper and common
noun. Put it in the column in front.
