Rate of Change Word Problems Guide

This document contains a series of word problems related to calculating rates of change. It asks the reader to identify whether rates of change are positive, negative, zero or undefined based on how the dependent and independent variables change. It then provides examples of calculating rates of change based on data given in various word problems about altitude, depth, weight, temperature, money in savings accounts, speed and baseball hits over time. It concludes with problems calculating the slope of lines between two points.
