A: uhm .. well , how do you feel right now?

R: to be frankly speaking, I’m kinda nervous right now since this was my first time having an interview in
this one of kind world-class company .

A: oh I see, but don’t worry just suit yourself.

A: so, as for your first question, among this big companies other than ours, why did you choose our
company?

R: way back when I was surfing on the internet to search for the potential companies I would be applying
to , I tried to have an in-depth research with each of those companies including yours. Afterward, I’ve
decided to choose your company since Ive heard good feedbacks with your tenured employees and how
well you train your employees for the skills necessary for the job. Kidding aside, your job salary is
somehow a little bit higher than the company I was working for before.

A: hmm okay , so now, tell me about yourself.

R: I am r-------------- , I graduated with a Latin honor in Ohio state university with a bachelor’s degree in
Accountancy. Also, I’ve aced my Accounting licensure examination 3 yrs ago . Furthermore, I’ve been
working for almost 2yrs as a senior accountant at my previous company. I started as an accounting clerk
and got promoted after 7 months. I am very passionate about learning new skills and improve the
expertise I’ve acquired during my past job. I’ve developed a strong skill set including an in-depth
accounting and management expertise. I am eager to make full use of this in a larger working
environment.

A: that’s good to hear, so with those experiences of yours, what are the strengths and weaknesses
you’ve realized along with your journey?

R: well that’s a very difficult question, so when it comes to my strengths, I am a very flexible person, I
always take initiative , and would like to be always on time because I do believe that punctuality
represents the respect you give not just with the person you’re obliged to but also to the company
you’ve been working for. In terms of my weaknesses, I am not that really a peer-oriented person as I
don’t want to get controlled and be influenced by the bad behavior of my co-workers. Though I am open
to be friends with them, but oftentimes, I set boundaries. Also, I am sometimes straightforward in which
I think Is a bad thing.

A: I understand. so lets now move on for your next question, what is the greatest problem you’ve
encountered and how did you managed to solve it ?

R: hmm, let me think it for a second. Uhmm… I think it was the time where I’ve handled multiple clients
of our company, not only that but most of them are all short-tempered person which makes it very hard
since they are not wary of the words they would gonna say towards you. However, I handle those
problem professionally and didn’t let myself get overwhelmed with their words. I start doing the best of
my ability until I’ve finished solving all of their concerns respectively.

A: I see, problems are really part of our work sometimes, the important thing is you managed to handle
it professionally. So, as an accountant, why did you choose accounting as a profession?

R: I believe that accountants make a significant contribution to any organization and improve its fiscal
condition. This job will provide me with the highest job satisfaction because it will give me a sense of
purpose since I have been interested in working with numbers for a long time. This career will enable me
to utilize my numerical skills to their full potential.

A: That’s interesting to hear. Let’s now move to the last question. Among all the participants trying to
apply for the position, why should we hire you?

R: I believe that you should hire me because aside from I already have an experience, I believe I am
highly adaptable and flexible when it comes to learning new things. I believe ABC Company would
benefit from hiring me as I’m reliable, flexible and am able to adapt even under stressful situations, and
with that, I am confident that I will be able to offer something valuable to the company’s
success. Lastly, with my eye for details and extensive accounting experience, I am ready to step up and
shoulder the responsibility of being an Accountant 1.

A: well, that’s it for today , I’ll call you right back as soon as possible if you’ve been chosen among the
aspiring participants like you after the board of directors finished evaluating each of you . I hope you
goodluck.
