In facing the challenges of globalization, English Language proficiency is

very important among our society, especially the young. In line with the
NKRA which one of the main thrust is to uphold the Malay Language and
strengthen the English. Therefore, exposure to English is very important and
should be implemented starting from primary school. However, the attitude
of our national society which considers that English is difficult and not easy
to learn should be eradicated. Therefore learning English can be
implemented not only in the formal classroom but in activities that are fun
and attract the attention of students as well as unearth the hidden talents
of students.

The programme organized by English Panel is a platform to build pupils’


confidence to communicate in English. In line with the MBMMBI policy,
English Month is one of the programs under HIP to motivate pupils about
the importance of learning English in PdPc and daily life. Learning English
can also be carried out not only in formal classes but in the fun and
engaging activities. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the committee to
carry out appropriate activities.

This HIP project was created to expose pupils to the use of English with the
concept of fun-learning. This HIP project involves all SK Sendayan’s pupils to
strengthen their knowledge in English. This project is an innovation project
to improve and help the use of English by providing interactive play
corners, reading corners and storytelling corners so that pupils can apply
their knowledge of English more widely thus building a more confident
generation in speaking and practicing English in daily life.

• Expose and give opportunity for pupils to show their talents in the
activities planned.
• Fostering a spirit of competitiveness among pupils.
• Develop pupils’ interest, confidence level and able to communicate in
English.
• Provide fun and interesting English learning process for the pupils.
Provide an interactive play corner to encourage English learning in
schools.
• Improve the use and mastery of English among school children.
• To increase the involvement of students more actively in English
language activities implemented in the school on an ongoing basis.
• Provide reading corners and storytelling corners to encourage English
learning in schools.
• Implement the NKRA policy which is to strengthen English among school
children.
