(i) a bungalow house with a market value of RM1,000,000.


(ii) a Mercedes Benz car bearing registration no. MDD818 with a market value of RM200,000.
(iii) savings in the banks with a total of RM350,000.

Cola Beh’s debts amount to RM80,000.

Cola Beh is survived by his father (Paddington Beh), his wife (Winnie Poo), his daughter (Paula
Beh, aged 22 years old) and his son (Teddy Beh, 20 years old).

(a) Outline the steps required to administer Cola Beh’s estate.

(b) Would you answer be different if Cola Beh’s estate only comprises the Mercedes Benz
(market value of RM200,000) and savings in the banks (RM350,000)?
