Ordinal numbers

are numbers that


show position or
order of persons
and objects.
The short form of
ordinal numbers
“th” at the end
except 1st, 2nd and
3rd .
When objects or person are placed in order, we use
numbers to tell their position or where they are in
line. For example, when we line up for lunch at the
canteen we line up in order.
