How many goals can be scored from 5 meter, 6 meter, 7 meter and 8 meter away from the
football goal post using 6 different person's with each taking 6 shots at the goal from each
distance.

INTRODUCTION
Football, also called association football or soccer, a game in which two teams of 11
players, using any part of their bodies except their hands and arms, try to maneuver the
ball into the opposing team’s goal that consists of two goal posts in order to score. Only
the goalkeeper is permitted to handle the ball and may do so only within the penalty
area surrounding the goal. The team that scores more goals wins and is said that to win
special prizes and trophies. In Northern and Southern Europe and Central and South
America. It is said that it could go back to the 19 th century, since then no one knows
exactly when it was invented.
2
It carries two teams and 11 players, who try to score the ball into the opponent's goals.
These teams are equally splitted into midfielders, forwards and [Link] most
diplomatic skilled positions are between the defenders and midfielders because they are
always picked to the be the teams important players, in which they have to talk to team
members of the team and guiding them in their tactics. Top the most important rules in
football are no hands should be used, fouls, goals kick and corner kicks, penalty kick
and throw ins.
In our country we see football different at times, most times we use things like for e.g:
recycling bottles, coconuts, box juice boxes and a ball when it's necessary.
We use these types of things to play or put together a corner league competition during
holidays. Our competition has different style of playing original football around the world
Our corner league competition consists of 2,3,4 or even 5 players per team according
on the size of the football pitch we are playing on.
3
Our prize organization is different for the prize. In which the person who's keeping the
corner league competition collects a certain amount of money from each and every
team that choose to play in the corner league competition and which every team wins at
the end of the league gets to collect the money and other prizes.
There's even been multiple competitions that have been organize by Jamaica's
biggest football Association know as ISSA (Inter Secondary School Sports) . ISSA is
the company that is responsible for all of the events taken place in Jamaica such as
Pepsi, Cole's, Manning Cup, Walker cup and even Boys & Girls Champs .
4
This is where schools across Jamaica would have been selected to compete against
one another institution for money, trophies and silverwares. There are also activities
that the schools have invent to do on a annual basis, where they make classes
challenge one another for trophies and medals.
ISSA has also created tournaments in Jamaica. Tournaments such as "The
Red Stripe league. These are tournaments where clubs around Jamaica battle against
each other in a League for first place. These tournaments are decided by the club that
ends the football season with the most points, Trophies, prizes, special treatments and
also silverware.
5
The Red Stripe League is even more advanced and harder than the Manning Cup and
others. But the majority of the players who played in the Manning cup also got a chance
to play in the Red Stripe League in which coaches saw great talent in such a player.
Some even get a scholarship to play overseas because of how they played in the
Manning [Link] players have well-rounded scheme's that he/she has to perpetuate
to keep being some of the top players in the world. Essentially, they have to know and
understand the game of football almost perfectly. Training is also a main part, the main
thing is that. These player got to be very well discipline so that they can keep up with
intense training for hours and have good statistics.
6
Good statics area from the way a player stands or moves, to the place, positioning and
movements the whole team. In doing this research i will be observing most of the top
games online, therefore it will be difficult to do so in a time like this.
The objectives of doing this occupation is to:
- focus on the amount of goals scored in each matches
- approach the techniques used by every player that scored a goal
- get an understanding of the winning team
Each participant at a time is very paramount in order to have well-played group of
players and a great game. The restriction to my research is that I will be unable to see
the whole match or get interviews with some of the outstanding players to know their
techniques, everything has to be done effectively.

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION
For this research Devaughn and a few other players will attempt to score goals from a certain
angle and meters away from the goal, these meter numbers will be 5, 6, 7 and 8 meter distance
away from the football goal. Each person will attempt to score goals six times from each
distance. The amount of goals scored by each person at the different meters will be recorded out
of 6. The technique used by different individuals will also be recorded through short structured
interviews. Having obtained the information which will be documented by pen and paper, the
researcher’s techniques used to do so were observation and interviews.

PRESENTATION OF DATA
This presentation of data will identify the amount of goals scored by each individual out
of the six tries.

ANALYSIS OF DATA
Figure 1 shows the amount of goals scored by each player at the distance of 5 meters. The mean
for these goals that were scored from the 5 meter distance is 3.6, the median of the number of
goals that were scored is 4 and 4 also represents the amount of goals that can be scored from 5
meters away from the goal. 40% of the players scored four goals, 25% of the players scored 5,
15%of the players scored 3 and 10% the remaining scored 2 goals.
Figure 2 shows the goals scored from 6meters away from the goal by each player. The mean of
which is 3.2, the median is 3 and the mode can either be 6 or 5 as both goals occurred two times.
20% scored 4, 40% scored 5 goals and the remaining 40% scored 6 goals.
Figure 3 shows the amount of goals scored from 7 meters away from the goal by each player.
40% scored 4 goals, another 40% scored 5 goals and the remaining 20% scored 2 goals. The
mean of these scores are 4, the median is 5 and the mode can either be 5 or 4.
Figure 4 shows the amount of goals scored by each player at 8 meters away from the goal. 40%
scored 4 goals, 20% scored 2, 3 goals were scored by another 20% and the remaining 20%
scored 6 goals.
16
DISCUSSION OF FINDINGS
Based on what information shown in the analysis of data. The mean of all the goals scored from
5, 6, 7, and 8 meters is equal to 3.5. All the goals put together that were scored by each player at
the different distances is equal to 70 in total which is then divided by 20. The median and the
mode of the goals scored by all the players is . Which further means that the optimum range of
goals scored by the players from the goal at each distance is 5.
17
CONCLUSION
To conclude everything that Devaughn had found, is that the amount of goals scored according to
the distance away from the goal whether it's 5m, 6m, 7m or 8m the amount of goals is 8 meters.
The most relevant factor that contributes to this as to why the optimum of range for the scores
are so high based on the amount of tries they get can be either the technique used or how focused
or persistent the player is. The technique is the most relevant factor used by these players to help
them score the amount of goals they did from different distances; the most frequent technique
used by the players was to roll the ball or strike it.
