Scene 1: {living room}- camera movement, door to the sofa {noon


shot} {setting: messy)- {title appears}

Water running sound

Scene 1 continues:{int. The kitchen}- [camera focused on the


father’s hand washing dishes and placing it on a dry towel.

 [camera focusing on the son’s hand taking the dishes and drying
them.

Scene 2: camera focusing on the clock ticking

Scene 3: son and father putting away the utensils and groceries
Scene 4: father picks up a bottle of coffee, and looks at his son
and son looks back {confusion on their faces}

Dialogue: “isse kahan rakhte hai?” [father]


Dialogue: “patha nahi”[son]

Scene 5: son picks up a pan and looks at his father {confused}

Dialogue: “yeh kahan jata hai?” [son]


Dialogue: “patha na…” {gets cut off} 

scene 5 continues- son goes out to check his phone

{father sighs}

Scene 6: son comes back, he looks at the pan and puts it in a random
cupboard 

Scene

6 continues: father looks at his son {father sighs}

Scene 7: clock ticking - depicting after few minutes {time skip}

Scene 8: father and son sigh together

Dialogue: “thak gaya” [son]{sighing}

{father sighs and nods}

Dialogue: “bhuk lagi hai?” [father]-looking at the son


Dialogue: “kuch bahar se hi mangwa lethe hai”[son]- looking at his
father with his hands on his waist
Dialogue: “thik hai” [father]- entering the living room
Dialogue: “aap kya khayenge?” [son]-entering the living room looking
at his father
Dialogue: “kuch bhi mangwa le” [father]- turning on the A/C.

Scene 8 continues- son nods and sits on the sofa

Scene 9: son starts using his phone - zooming into the phone and the
son typing and sending something

Dialogue: “Order kiya?” [father]


Dialogue: “hmm” [son]
Dialogue: “Kitne baje ayega?” [father]

-no response-

Dialogue: “Ayan?!” [father]


Dialogue: “hmmm?” [son]
Dialogue: “what time will it come?!” 

Scene 10: close up on the son- son typing something


Scene 10 continues: father annoyingly comes out of the kitchen and
sees his son on his phone

Scene 11: Father gets mad and snatches his son’s phone away
Scene 11 continues: son looks at his father with a questioning look

Dialogue: “jab dekho pura din phone pehi reh tha hai” [father]
Dialogue: “woh esilye kyunki main apne dosto se baath karta hun, aur
kuch nahi!” [son]
Dialogue: “Kya ye hi dost tere mushkil ghadi mai saath hothe hai?”
[father]

{son sighs in frustration}

Dialogue: “Daaaad!”[son]

{the door bell rings}

Scene 11 continues: son sighs {with a drooping body}and leaves to


open the door

{opens the door} 


                          
                    
Dialogue: “Sir your food is here”[pizza delivery boy]

Dialogue: “Thank you”[son] {sighing,taking the bag of food}

                     
Scene 12: {camera facing the son’s back from a
Distance} son paying and close the door, carries the food and places
it on the table.

Scene 12 continues: father comes out of the kitchen

Dialogue: “khana agaya?” [father}


Dialogue: “hmm” [son]{sits on the sofa}

Scene 13: father enters the kitchen and comes out with two plates,
two spoons and two cans of any drink {son-coke, father-beer} and
place it on the table

Scene 13 continues: father looks at his son and sighs

Dialogue: “Chal koi movie dekhte hai” [father]


Dialogue: “konsi” [son]

Scene 14: father sits on the sofa {sighing}. He takes the remote and
starts the TV.

{camera focuses on the TV}- [title appears “DOSTI”

Dialogue: “ ‘DOSTI’? seriously” [son] {mockingly looking at his


father}
Dialogue: “Tu dekh to sahi,this film portaris true friendship.”
[father]{arranging the plates}
Dialogue: “aaj ke zamane ki dosti hi kuch alag hoti hai, jisme zyada
thar loyalty nahi hoti, ya tho sachi nahi hoti” [father] {serving
the food on the plates}
Dialogue: {giggles} “times have changed dad” [son] {taking a sip
from his drink}
Dialogue: “but ‘friendship remains a constant term, no matter what
year or century it is” father]{looking at his son}

Scene 15: the son looks at his father in agreement.


Dialogue: “anyway, movie start kare?” [son]

Scene 15 continues: {smiles at his son} “hmm” [father]


-{the son smiles back}-

THE MOVIE STARTS

Scene 16:{camera faces the tv and shows a scene from the film}

Scene 16 continues: son taking a bit from his food and father taking
a sip from his drink, they both are looking at the screen.

{camera focus on the clock ticking, depicting after an hour}

THE MOVIE ENDS

Scene 17: the father stands up and stretches himself, while the son
is still sitting on the sofa.
[the plate is still on the son’s lap]

 
Scene 18: son places the plate on the table and stretches

Dialogue: “kaisi lagi film?” [father]


Dialogue: “achi thi!” [son] {exclaiming}
Dialogue: “so...frien” [father]{father gets cut off}
Dialogue: “so friendship is constant, no matter where you and what
time it is.[son]{look at his father}
Dialogue: “ek asli dost kabhi sath nahi chod tha” [father]{looking
at his son}

{father smiles at his son}


{son smiles back at his father}

Scene 19: father takes his can of beer and goes to the kitchen.

Scene 20: son looks at his father’s disappearing figuring

Scene 20 continues: the son’s eyes fall on one of their photo frames

{camera focuses on the photo frames}

{the son smiles, emotional music}

Scene 21: the son looks at the other photos {camera focuses}

[the son smiles]

Dialogue: “asli dosti” [son]

Scene 22 continues: the son looks at his father working in the


kitchen.

Scene 23: pap… {gets cut off by his phone ringing}[son]

[son declines the call]

Scene 23 continues: son looks at his father, the father looks back

Dialogue: tume kuch keh re the?” [father]


Dialogue: “oh haan!” [son]
Dialogue: “umm..bahar ghumne chale, mausum kafi acha hai?” [son]

Scene 24: the father is surprised {his eyes widen looking at his
son}

Dialogue: “are you sure?” [father]


Dialogue: “haan..or wase bhi kafi time se nahi gaye..ek dusre ke
saath [son] {son looks down}

{father looks at his son with affection}


Dialogue: “chalo” [father] {leaving the kitchen}

Scene 25: the father sits down to wear his shoes, and the son starts
doing the same

Scene 25 continues: the father gets up and grabs the keys

Dialogue: “ready” [father]


Dialogue: “hmm” [son] {smiling at his father}

-{father ruffles the son’s hair and smiles back and keeps looking at
his father, vise versa}-

-{they hug each other}-

[camera focused on the two]{they both re smiling}

Scene 26: they both part away

Dialogue: “chale?” [father]


Dialogue: “hmm” [son]

Scene 27: father opens the door and lets his go first, before
closing the door he looks at the picture of him and his son and
smiles

Scene 28: door closes {camera focus on the door}

Scene 28 continues: camera slowly moves towards the photo {music


starts playing}

END
