Laundry Evaluation Checklist

The purpose of this evaluation is to check the associate’s understanding of the proper Laundry Room
cleaning processes.

Instructions for completing this form:


Shadow the Laundry Attendant while they are performing their job tasks. Ask the associate to complete
the tasks associated with their role as the Laundry Attendant and explain that you will be observing as
they complete these tasks to ensure they are following the recommended procedures.

Place a ünext to tasks that the associate completes correctly. Use the comments column to add
additional feedback for the associate. It is recommended to provide feedback to the associate upon
completion and discuss any questions / concerns they might have. If necessary, have the associate
review the appropriate videos and resources as a refresher on the topic.

followed according to standard (e.g., sorting,
stain removal, washing, drying, folding)
Ensure adequate amount of laundry

quarterly basis
Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines
Clean dryer lint screens according to
manufacturer’s suggestions
Clean behind the washers and dryers
Ensure laundry cycle (sorting, washing,
drying, folding) is being completed on a
timely basis
Wipe down table used to fold terry/linen
Stock carts for delivery of clean linens to
linen storage rooms
Clean the carts and any other laundry carts
Wipe exterior of washers and dryers
Keep storage shelves clean and organized
Sweep and mop laundry room floor
Log any damaged linen to assist in tracking
linen inventories
Conduct/assist with linen inventory
Alert management of any shortages of linen
and terry
General knowledge of machinery and
equipment used in the laundry facility
Brand/Hotel specific tasks
