Brief Description Francisco Saldua is the principal witness during the trial. He testified that the mutiny
was a conspiracy, and confessed that he was part of it. He wishes to be pardoned in
exchange for his testimony. He testified that for three times he delivered messages
to Fr. Jacinto Zamora, who had then gone to Burgos's abode. Saldua said that
Sergeant Lamadrid and one of the Basa Brothers told Saldua that the "government
of Father Burgos" would bring the fleet of the United States to assist a revolution. He
also testified that Ramon Maurente was financing it with 50,000 pesos, and
Maurente would become the revolutions' field marshal, Saldua also testified that the
conspirators met at the home
