I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
a.) identify the active ingredient(s) of cleaning products used at home;
b.) illustrate the appropriate the uses of different cleaning products; and
d.) appreciates the importance of different of cleaning products used in their home.

III. Learning Tasks
A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY
1. Prayer
The whole class will pray together.
2. Greetings
Good Morning class!
3. Classroom Management
Before we start, please arrange your seats and pick up the pieces of paper in your area.
4. Checking of Attendance
Go to your proper seat, so that the class secretary can check your attendance.
B. MOTIVATION
Let’s play a game “Guess the Logo”
(Teacher will explain the mechanics of the game.)
(Students are actively participating in the game.)
C. LESSON PROPER
(Teacher will instruct the learners on what to do on the short activity)
(Teacher will discuss the different active ingredients of cleaning products used at home)
- Active ingredients are the chemical compounds in the product that has an effect on the body. It
can affect one part of the body (such as the skin) or the entire body.
- Different Active Ingredients are:
1) Alcohol Ethoxylate (AE) 6. Ethanol
2) Sodium Alkyl Sulfates 7. Phenol
3) Amine Oxide 8. Quaternary ammonium
4) Ammonia 9. Sodium percarbonate
5) Sodium hypochlorite
D. APPLICATION
(Teacher will distribute the activity sheet to the learners and discuss the instructions.)
The teacher will give the learners at least 5-7 minutes to finish the given activity afterwards some
of the learners will illustrates their answer in front.
E. GENERALIZATION
(The teacher will ask the learners to give the summary of the discussion)
