Host: Maria and Cythia, thank you for joining us today. We are honoured to have both of you on our
show. Maria, can you please tell us a little bit about your story?\
Maria: Thank you for having me. Our story is unfortunately not unique. We grew up with an abusive
mother who would often physically and emotionally abuse us. It was a very difficult and traumatic
experience that we had to endure for many years.
Host: I am so sorry to hear that. How did you manage to cope with the abuse, Cynthia?
Cynthia: It was a very difficult situation to be in. However, we managed to find support from friends and
other family members. We also sought therapy, which helped us to heal and process our experiences
Host: That's great to hear. It takes a lot of courage to seek help in such a difficult situation. What advice
could both of you give to others who may be going through similar experiences?
Maria: Our advice would be to speak up and seek help. You are not alone and there are resources
available to you.
Cynthia: And it's important to remember that the abuse is not your fault and that you deserve to be
treated with respect and kindness.
Host: That's great advice from both of you. Thank you for sharing that with us. We have a caller on the
line who would like to ask both of you a question. Go ahead, caller.
Caller: Hi Maria and Cynthia. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I was wondering, did both of you
try to confront your mother about her abusive behavior?
Maria: Yes, we did. However, it was not a successful conversation. My mother was not willing to
acknowledge her behavior or take responsibility for it.
Cynthia: It's important to remember that not everyone will be open to having a conversation about their
abusive behavior.
Host: That's a great point, Maria and Cynthia. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is to seek help and
support from others. Thank you for sharing your story and your advices with us.
Host: And before we end, there’s someone who wants to say something for both of you, watch this.
Mother: “ Hi my lovely daughter maria and cynthia, I know I’ve been an abusive mother for both of you.
If I have done something to hurt you, I am willing to take responsibility and make amends. I hope you
will accept my apology. I love you my maria and cynthia.”
Host: What a sincere message coming from the mother of maria and Cynthia. About the video how do
you feel now? Do both of you accept her apology?
Maria: I just want to let my mother know that we accept her apology and from the start I always love
her.
Host: Thank you Maria and Cynthia. Unfortunately, that's all the time we have for today. I want to thank
our guest, Maria and cynthia, for joining us and sharing their story with us. Remember, if you or
someone you know is experiencing abuse, there is help available. Don't be afraid to reach out and seek
support. Thank you for tuning in to Patok Kang Gigi.
