Background Information
A. Rationale of the Program/Activity
In consonance to DepEd Memorandum No. 024 s, 2022, “Adoption of the Basic
Education Development Plan 2030”, Timoteo A. Reyes Sr, Memorial Elementary School
conducted the 2023 State of the School Address (SOSA) for Revisiting and Recalibrating the
Enhanced School Improvement Plan (ESIP) last February 27, 2023, 2:30pm @ PAG-ASA
Covered Court.

B. Objectives of the Activity


This activity aims to:
a. to engage agencies, organizations and other stakeholders in recalibrating/
ratification for the ESIP projects
b. address problems, gaps, queries, and other concerns commonly encountered by
the public at the middle of the school year
report learner’s academic performance and issuance of SF 9 (Report Card)

C. Expected Outcome and Results

All of the proponent will present their project together with Dr. Evangeline S. Cleofe.
A Pledge of Commitment will be signed by all of the participants for their engagement for
the said projects.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY


A. Preliminary Activities
In accordance DepEd Memorandum No. 024 s, 2022, “Adoption of the Basic
Education Development Plan 2030”, Timoteo A. Reyes Sr, Memorial Elementary School
conducted the 2023 State of the School Address (SOSA) for Revisiting and Recalibrating the
Enhanced School Improvement Plan (ESIP) last February 27, 2023 2:30 in the afternoon.
The preliminary activities for the program starts with a simple presentation of a
Nationalistic Song, followed by a prayer and the checking of attendance, after that, a
welcome remarks and a message coming from our school Principal was received by the
audiences. The program proceeded to the session proper by the assigned discussant.
These preliminaries lead to direct the right path of the session.

B. Key Learning and Output (per module/session)


State of the School Address
This activity attempts to spread information about the school's accomplishments and
future goals for improved academic performance. Involve parents, provide timetables and
information, and encourage them to participate in their children's development as well as
their comprehension of the school's rules and regulations.

Revisiting and Recalibrating the Enhanced School Improvement Plan


The first project was presented by the School Principal, Dr. Evangeline S. Cleofe, it
was entitled Project I-TEACH (Innovating Teacher in The Entire Academe as Collaborative
Helm of Educational System). The projects was proposed to institutionalize the different
ESIP projects/ programs in current situation of the school for the implementation from priority
improvement areas that needs to address.
The next speakers Belinda B. Ojascastro and Jeniffer F. De Leon presented the
program FOCUS (Focusing on Opportunities to seCure and Uplift leanerS) under the Project
UP (Ugnayang Pananagutan) which aims to reduce the number of drop out pupils. The
speakers point out that teachers could ask for help to the stakeholders in order to increase
the number of enrollees in the school.
Next program was presented by Ivy Marie C. Taroy, entitled RExPoR (Road to
Exciting Part of Reading) which is under the Project BRB4 (Blue Rizal: Barangayan para sa

Bawat Bata Bumabasa). The speaker talked about the implementation of the Phil-IRI
(Philippine Informal Reading Inventory) and how it is related to the Project RExPoR. The
result from the previous assessment was also reported and participants shared some
strategies and other intervention to ease the learners’ struggles in reading Filipino and
English words/ sentences.
Program DIRECT (Desired all learners be Included, Reach, Embrace Count and
Take in school) discussed by Ma’am Nilda R. Celestino and Ma’am Belinda B. Celajes which
is under the Project MILE (Maximizing Intervention for Learners’ Education). It aims to
provide educational services to all out-of-school learners, and for some students who
struggle with learning.
Another program was presented Under Project NUMERO (Number Understanding
Makes Every Rizaleño On Board) led by Ms. Ma. Ednalyn L. Cruz and was entitled PLUS M
(Positive Learning and Understanding Skills in Mathematics). The speaker discussed the
changes about the implementation of Numeracy Assessment Tool and the Kit to be used for
the identified learners. The participants shared some possible intervention to be
implemented by the teachers in addressing the learner’s numeracy status.
The last program SHIELD (Strengthening Holistic Intelligence on Emergency
management, Lessening impacts and risks of Disasters) was presented by Ma’am Aura O.
Dulay and is under the project MINDSET (Mitigating Impacts aNd risks of Disasters by
Strengthening knowledge in Emergency managemenT). Its purpose is to address the need
to strengthen the resilience of learners, teachers and other school personnel, as well as the
other stakeholders.

A short closing program was conducted by allowing all participants to signed in the
Pledge of Commitment board for giving their support, time, and effort in attending and
listening the program.
