Get There

To Pasuruan
By Plane
There are two ways to reach the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, the first
and probably the most convenient is by flying to Juanda International Airport
in Surabaya, which is about 3-5 hours away by car and has direct flights from
Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Bali. From there, you can book a
travel agent, or hire a driver-for-rent to the Surabaya-Pasuruan-Wonokitri-Mt. Bromo
route. The best time to leave from the airport is around 11 pm to 12 am, in order
to arrive just in time for the sunrise. Alternatively, you can fly to Abdul Rachman Saleh
Airport in Malang, a small regional airport that can only be accessed through flights
from Jakarta. This route is a good way to enter only if you intend to approach
the park via the Tumpang/Ngadas route.
