A WISE AND GOOD KING BY THE NAME OF DASHRATHA LIVED THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO IN THE

CITY OF AYODHYA WITH HIS 3 QUEENS AND 4 PRINCES.

RAM, THE ELDER, AND HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE SITA, ALONG WITH OTHER PRINCE BROTHERS AND
THEIR WIFES, LIVED HAPPILY.

But, one of King Dashratha's wives was envious of Ram and demanded that he be sent
to the forest for 14 years so that her son Bharat might succeed to the throne.

The helpless king exiled Rama to the forest after being forced to promise to fulfil
any wishes made by his wife. Therefore, Ram set off on foot with the help of his
devoted wife SITA and loyal younger brother, Lakshmna.

A DEMONESS KNOWN AS SURPANKHA SAW A RAM AND FELL FOR HIS LOOKS A COUPLE OF YEARS
INTO THEIR EXILE. ASKING RAM TO WEDDING, SHE. RAM ASKING HER TO GO TO LAKSHMNA
INSTEAD, SHE REFUSED.
However, LAKSHMANA DID AS WELL. Lakshmana severed Surpankha's nose and ears after
she became enraged and revealed her true form.

THE DEMONESS WENT WAILING TO HER BROTHER, WHO WAS NONE OTHER THAN RAVANA THE DEMON
KING OF LANKA.

RAVANA WANTED REVENGE AND WAS ANGRY. He distracted Ram and Lakshmana and kidnapped
Sita from their hut with the assistance of another demon who assumed the appearance
of a golden deer.

SITA WAS MISSING WHEN RAM AND LAKSHMANA RETURNED. They realised that something bad
had happened while they were away and hurried to find her.

THEY MET AN ARMY OF MONKEYS AND BEARS WHO AGREEED TO HELP THEM ON THEIR Journey.
ONE OF THEM WAS A MONKEY CALLED HANUMAN WHO ONCE PROMISED TO SERVE RAM.

HANUMAN had the power to fly over mountains, change size, and have superhuman
strength, allowing him to leap across oceans in single [Link], he became
Ram's most powerful ally.

SITA WAS FINALLY FOUND BY HANUMAN, IMPRISONED IN ONE OF RAVANA'S GORGEOUS GARDENS.

SITA WAS ASSURED BY HANUMAN THAT RAM WILL COME HERE SOON TO SAVE HER.

On Hanuman's return journey he was arrested by Ravana's soldiers. Ravana ordered to


set fire to Hanuman's tail. Then Hanuman shows his power and flies away. He sets
fire to the entire city of Lanka by setting fire to his tail.

He returned to RAM with SITA's entourage, including an army of monkeys and bears
marching to Sri Lanka. THROUGH CONSTRUCTION OF A BRIDGE TO CROSS THE OCEAN
