Outcome Dept-PLO which is charged to course
Learning PLO 3 Mastering theoretical concepts of Javanese language, literature, and culture.
Course Outcome Learning
CLO-1 Being able to make use of science and technology to obtain, collect, and process various basic principles of text
criticism, approaches, and methods and their application in order to study and analyze old codex studies critically and
creatively
CLO-2 Mastering theoretical concepts of textual criticism, approaches, and methods, and being able to formulate in solving
various problems on the study and analysis of old codex studies critically, creatively, and procedurally.
CLO-3 Being able to make strategic decisions based on analysis of information and data, and provide guidance in choosing
various alternative solutions for solving problems on the study and analysis of old codex studies
CLO-4 Being responsible for the individual and group learning performance in solving various problems on the study and
review of old codex studies in schools.
Course This course contains basic principles of semantics, approaches, and methods and their application to semantic studies critically and
Description creatively to improve the ability to analyze the meaning of language and its application in learning Javanese in schools by utilizing science

and technology based on an attitude of responsibility. The course is presented with a system of assignment, practice, discussion,
presentation, and reflection.
Learning 1. Basic concepts of semantics: the meaning of semantics and role of semantics in linguistics, approaches in semantic analysis,
Materials semantic units, and semantic topics.
2. Lexical semantics: types of meaning (affective, associative, narrow, descriptive, extensional, emotive, figurative/connotative,
gereflekter, grammatical, ideational, idiomatical, intention, broad, cognitive, and colloquial).
3. Lexical semantics: types of meaning (conceptual, contextual, constructive, lexical, pictorial, propositional, presupositional, central,
referential, stylistic, thematical, and straightforward/denotative).
4. Lexical semantics: meaning relations (synomimi, antonymy, homonymy, homophone, homograph, polysemy, redundancy, ambiguity,
hyponymy, taxonomy, complementary, meronimy and metonymy).
5. Lexical semantics: the change of meaning based on the value of taste, region, degree, and user.
6. Lexical semantics: the use of meaning (names and terms).
7. Lexical semantics: semantic relations (paradigmatic [hyponym; cohiponym, and hypernym; cohypernym] and syntagmatic
[distribution and encapsulation]).
8. Grammatical semantics: voice (active, passive, reflexive and reciprocal).
9. Grammatical semantics: forms (imperative, introgative, hope, and conditional) and contents (progressive, stative, intensity,
extensiveness, qualification, quantification, and frequency).
10. Grammatical semantics: modality (intentional, epistemic, deontic, dynamic, and aletic).
11. Grammatical semantics: deixis (personal, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse).
12. Grammatical semantics: aspectuality (argumentative, diminutive, frequentive, habituative, impereffective, incoative, inseptive,
continuative, momentan, perfective, perfunctive, perfunctive, progressive, repetitive, simulfactive, pungtiliar, and
incompletive/complementative/sesative).
13. Speech meaning (pragmatic semantics): presupposition, implicature, and inference.
