1. Do you think there was a management failure? If so, what is it?

 After studying the case, the group came up to a conclusion that there is indeed a management
failure. The management should have informed the guests about the specific issue before
processing the accommodation. It is not the guests' fault; therefore, the management should
find a way to fix it before accommodating the guests. If the issue can't be solved immediately,
they must inform everyone about the problem. Accepting accommodation without adequately
informing the guests about a particular issue or malfunction is not a great thing. The
management shall appropriately discuss the terms if something goes wrong during the guest's
stay. They need to make up for the trouble they caused and offer something to leave a good
impression amidst their guest's problems.

2. What is the hotel’s immediate response (or action) to the incident? Is it enough or justifiable?

 By analysing the situation the immidiate response of the hotel is just to tell to the guest that
they already inform them, but the guest who complain the issue didn't know about what
happened. Hence, it's not enough to consider the reason of the hotel. The fact that, every guest
should be informed regarding to hotel malfunctions, especially to the guest who's experience
the same issue which lasted for a few more days, that the hotel personnel should take a quick
response about the said problem. Plus, if the staffs of the hotel care about their guest they
should show some empathy for guest suggestions or complaints. So that, the guest will feel that
they important to the hotel.
 The establishment response to the complainer is unforeseeable circumstances in the event. And
they said it late that there was a problem with their equipment, but they did not immediately
tell their customers. And also, The manager's response is unethical for the company's reputation
because a customer complained about something. Still, the manager did is that he arrived late
to the complainer, so their customer waited 15 mins just to tell the manager what was the
problem with their stay at the hotel. The response of the hotel is not enough to consider. I
understand that the personnel explained the problem regarding the guest room, but
unfortunately, they didn't take action for this kind of situation and lasted for a few more days.
Aside from that, they do not even show empathy to the guest for what happened. If they care
for the guest staying who stays in a hotel, they will make a proper solution regarding the issue
so that the guest will feel that they guarantee the quality of the hotel.

[Link] further, long run action should the management take if any? Justify your answer.

 The company must be accountable for that situation since their business is responsible for
providing for the customer's needs. It is necessary for them to have alternatives to every
problem they can encounter with customers. If they do not have any substitute, it simply means
there will be a lot of customers who will also complain about the same problem. And eventually,
it will not satisfy your customer if it always happens with others. Therefore, they need to
prevent this problem by managing their guest properly and taking every action into
responsibility so that the customer will feel that they are being taken care of. Afterward, the
managements should root to the real problem with their water boiler by reason of it should not
always be to reason out that the problem is made or act of God, the management should not let
this kind of inconvenience with the guest, as this feedback or concerns will bring bad reviews
with their company. As their business continues in the long run, the management should
provide a better alternative that will help them fix things by having a water boiler checked by
skilled or professionals in line with it. Also, they can have a portable water boiler or heater so
that if the central heater is not working, they can have a substitute for it in the meantime. And
there are lots of solutions out there that the management can use so that in every complaint
they will receive, they can quickly solve and think how to fix problems that they will encounter,
as it was their job in the first place.
