DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
A winery is a building or property that produces wine, or a business involved in the production of wine, such as a
wine company. Besides wine making equipment, larger wineries may also feature warehouses, bottling lines, laboratories,
and large expanses of tanks known as tank farms.
Some of the main features to be included in this winery design are- the production centre, fermentation area,
warehouses, bottling area, shop, wine tasting area, multi-purpose halls, dining area, living quarter for staff. The purpose of
this winery is not just to produce wine but also give opportunities for other activities.
AIM OF STUDY:
• Encouraging Tourism
• Create employment opportunities
• Establish ready and stable market for vineyards
• Challenge of maintaining optimum temperature in the production and storing facilities
• Revenue from tourism
• Provide essential services
There’s is a need to bring in international standards in construction of winery in India to promote tourism and
education. In a city life, there is always an urge to do something on the weekends. A well-designed winery can be a
good getaway. Also having facilities like a convention all etc, there can be a provision for celebrations.
OBJECTIVE OF STUDY:
• Increase grape cultivation, so it will help to preserve nutrients in soil.
• Employment opportunities for the local population
• Enhance wine tourism
DESIGN PROGRAM:
Indians are consuming and producing more wine today than ever before. Production in India is seeing an
increase. Some of these wines are acknowledged on the international scale. With increase in consumption, there is a greater
need and desire for public to become more familiar and aware of the wine industry.
Wine is a product of its environment. Therefore, consideration of the facility to be site sensitive, surrounding
context must be a major concern. From the site selection process to the orientation of the building and vineyard locations,
environment context must be considered.
The facility is composed of many different building types. The research and study of the building is both and
interesting and valuable learning experience. The project us responsive to certain needs. It include the wine production
facility, restaurant, administrative, accommodation and support facilities.
Soil type:
• Sandy to clayey and loamy soil with good drainage and irrigation facilities is suitable for the cultivation
of grapes.
• Soils having Ph value from 6.5 – 7.5 are most suitable.
Climatic conditions:
• In Its Natural Habitat, the crop bears fruit during the hot and dry period and undergoes dormancy during
the period of severe cold.
• It tolerates frost during resting stage but is very susceptible during growing period.
• Temperature ranging from 15-350C is ideal for shoot growth and normal physiological processes of the
grapevine.
• Vines and fruits do not grow well when the temperature falls below 100C.
Potential for grape development in India
India has the distinction of achieving the highest productivity in grapes in the world, with an average yield of 30 t/ha.
• Sustaining productivity and minimizing risks in grape cultivation is possible because of the availability of a variety of
agro-climatic regions suitable for grape cultivation for table, raisin and wine grapes.
• Technologies to achieve high productivity are currently available.
• Scope for double cropping in certain regions and harvesting round the year in certain varieties is practically feasible.
• Technologies to produce export quality grapes and quality raisins are available.
Constraints in grape production
Although grape cultivation is considered as highly remunerative, the area under grapes is confined to only 34,000 hectares
due to the following constraints.
• Heavy initial investment for establishing a vineyard.
• High recurring costs in vineyard management.
• Narrow variety base and lack of diversity in utilization of the germplasm available in grape growing countries.
• High risk of losing the crop due to unprecedented changes in weather.
• Soil and water salinity in Maharashtra and drought in the hot tropical areas.
• Short period available for ripening in the north.
• Very low proportion of export quality grapes.
• Wine is not a popular drink at present.
• Marketing problems in table grapes.
LOCATION
• Satara is a city located in maharastra, india. It is near the confluence of the river krishna and its tributary river venna.
• It has a beautiful view from the mountains and is 10.5km away from the railway station.
• Site area is around 12 acres.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicinal system remains the most ancient yet living traditions
with sound philosophical and experimental basis. It is a science of life with a holistic approach
to health and personalized medicine. It is known to be a complete medical system that
comprised physical, psychological, philosophical, ethical, and spiritual health. In Ayurveda,
each cell is considered to be inherently an essential expression of pure intelligence hence called
self-healing science. In addition, to the self-healing concept, the use of herbal treatment is
equally important in this Indian traditional system of medicine.
Ayurvedic treatment is although highly effective; proper mode of action, pharmacology,
pharmacokinetics, and pharmacovigilance of many important Ayurvedic drugs are still not
fully explored. Moreover, the comprehensive knowledge of the basic ideologies of Ayurveda
is poorly acceptable scientifically due to lack of evidence. In the modern time, when the
Western medicinal system is reached almost at the top because of validated research and
advanced techniques, there is an urgent need to validate basic principles as well as drugs used
in the ayurvedic system of medicine with the help of advanced research methodology.
Therefore, advancements in the ongoing research methodology are highly required for the
promotion of Ayurveda.
RATIONALE AND JUSTIFICATION
AIM OF STUDY:
The main of this project to attract the tourist and increase the economical wealth. Kerala has a
long traditional ayurvedic treatment methods .But now a days all these methods are very less
applied in the hospitality field. Through this project the ancient methods used by the people
can bring back as a tourism element.

CULTURAL COMPLEX
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
The cultural development is a very sensitive and critical issue since it is one of the basic
infrastructures of development . Regarding the importance of this issue and the need for cultural
development in our current society, the necessity of creating cultural centres is obviously
understandable . Finally, architectural studies try to expose their effects in designing and
basically, the aim of such studies is creating suitable mental backgrounds and increasing
effective knowledge in designing . In these cultural centres, young people and generally, all
people can use from facilities . It will be designed so that affects the creativity of young people
and it will be the cultural symbol of its domain .
Culture is a contact line between human and the environment through it, his/her root will be
strengthened in both the nature and society. Cultural facilities of human are becoming more
close and dependent to each other and nation emerges from common mentalities which are
born from the culture and its bonding is common in memories and what they beloved and what
they hate and common language and so on.
