Color-Coded Behavior Management Plan

The classroom behavior management plan uses a color-coded system with frogs to track student behavior throughout the day. Students start each day clipped to the green "Ready to Learn" frog. Their clip can move up for good behavior or down for disruptive behavior. If a clip reaches orange or brown by recess, the student serves a timeout. Earning stickers for reaching the purple "Outstanding" frog leads to a new colored clip. The goal is for students to work their way through the rainbow of colors to the glittery top prize clothespin.

My behavior management plan is designed to promote positive student behavior rather than reprimand poor behavior. It enables students an opportunity to still end the day on a positive note even if they were reprimanded at some point during the day.
