My behavior management plan is designed to promote positive student behavior rather than reprimand poor behavior. It enables students an opportunity to still end the day on a positive note even if they were reprimanded at some point during the day. It also allows for those constant positive role models to have something to strive for as they continue to earn through their outstanding behavior. How It Works
Outstanding
children receive a clothespin with their name on it. Each day, they start with their
Role Model
clothespin clipped to the green frog, Ready to Learn. If they are being
disruptive, their clip is moved down. If Showing Pride they are being great role models, their clip is moved up. If a students clip has been moved down, they can get it moved back up by behaving correctly. If their
Ready to Learn
clip is on orange or brown by recess time, they have to serve a five or ten minute time out. Each time a child reaches the
Thinking About It
sticker on their clip. Once they receive 5 stickers on their clip, they get a new clip, Reflecting which they color red. This continues as the rainbow- all the while working their Contact Home way to the coveted, glittery clothespin! they work their way through the colors of
