1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF STUDY
Iskandar is the manager at Five Star Hotel and he is interested in determining the level of
customer satisfaction with the online room booking service provided by the hotel. He decided
to take every 20 customer who is using the service for a sample of 50 respondents and
staying at the hotel for the next 10 days. A questionnaire will be distributed upon the arrival
of the customers at the hotel. The questionnaire contains information on the demographic
profile of the customers such as gender, age, types of rooms selected, and as well as the
satisfaction level.
1.2 DESCRIPTION OF DATA
Population: All customers who is using the online room booking and staying at the hotel for
the next 10 days.
Sample: 20 customers who is using the online room booking service and staying at the hotel
for the next 10 days.
Sampling Technique: Sampling technique that we used is systematic sampling
because……..
Data collection method: We used primary data it is because the hotel gets the information
direct from the customer using questionnaire.
The description on the variables: As for our data, there are both types of variables which
are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data that we collected are types of room
selected, gender and level of satisfaction of the customer. Meanwhile, the quantitative is age
of the customer.
1.3 OBJECTIVES OF STUDY
1) To investigate the age and the number of customers.
2) To estimate there is a difference between the gender of customer and level of
satisfaction.
3) To estimate the percentage room selected by customer.

3.0 FINDINGS
3.1 Descriptive Analysis
3.1.1 The age of customer
Based on study, there are 4 categories of age. It is consists of range age between 20–30,
40-50, 60-70 and 80-90 years old for 20 customer. The most customer age is 20-30.
Meanwhile, for age 60-70 and 80-90 there is only 3 and 2 customer respectively. So these
study shows that people around 20-30 years are commonly check-in the hotel.

3.1.2 Room selected
The number of customer involved in this study is 20 customers. The room selected by
customers consists of single room, deluxe room, family room and suite room. The most room
chosen by customers are family which is 40% meanwhile single, deluxe and suite 10% 30%
20% respectively.

Male Customer
Mean: The average number of male customer is 6 persons per day.
Median: 50% of the male customer are more than 6 persons per day, 50% of the male
customers are less than 6 persons per day.
Mode: Most of the male customers coming are 5 persons per day.
Minimum and maximum value: The minimum of male customer is 2 persons per day and
the maximum is 11 persons per day.
Female Customers
Mean: The average number of female customer is 5 persons per day.
Median: 50% of the female customer are more than 4 persons per day, 50% of the female
customers are less than 4 persons per day.
Mode: Most of the female customers are 4 persons per day.
Minimum and maximum value: The minimum of female customers are 1 persons per day
and the maximum are 10 persons per day.
