Sir:

Greetings with love!

We have conceptualized a Project called Project CONNECT (Creating

The aim of the training is to empower the community by extending our
services as trainers in Cookery NC II and Bread and Pastry NC II. We will train your

National TVET Trainers. This is our own way of sharing the skills we have to create
more opportunities despite the challenges we are experiencing in this time of health
crisis.
In view thereof, we would like to ask permission as well to invite some of your
constituents to undergo the said endeavor. The training materials and resources will
be shouldered by the participants.
Your support to this endeavor is highly appreciated.
Looking forward for a positive acceptance regarding our invitation.
Thank you.

Project LIFT ensures sustainability by fostering community participation through shared resource responsibilities and post-training knowledge dissemination, where participants are expected to share their skills within their communities, creating a ripple effect. Additionally, products created during trainings are sold to fund further project resources, promoting a self-sustaining cycle. The project's structure involves community stakeholders and prepares participants for proactive community roles, ensuring ongoing engagement .

Project LIFT integrates economic empowerment and educational needs by providing technical-vocational skills training and financial literacy seminars, which address both skill and financial management. The project offers practical training in skills like dishwashing liquid making and spreads making, combined with education on business planning and financial literacy, thus equipping participants to improve their economic status while fostering awareness of the linkage between professional skills and community citizenship .

Project LIFT can be seen as a model for other community-based initiatives during global crises by exemplifying a holistic approach that combines skill development with financial education to address economic disruptions. Its emphasis on stakeholder collaboration, sustainable practices, and self-sufficient funding mechanisms serves as a scalable framework for empowering communities. Adapting its strategies to fit various contexts, it provides a blueprint for intervention in diverse challenges, emphasizing resilience and proactive engagement .

Community stakeholders play a crucial role in Project LIFT's success by facilitating resource sharing, providing venues, and participating in training sessions. Their involvement enhances project credibility, encourages local engagement, and ensures that the training aligns with community needs. Stakeholder participation aids in resource optimization and reinforces the community-school partnership, leading to more meaningful outcomes and sustainable project impacts .

Project LIFT aims to enhance participants' skills by offering hands-on training in technical-vocational fields, such as dishwashing liquid and fabcon making, paired with a financial literacy seminar covering business planning, management, and other monetary skills. This dual approach ensures participants gain practical skills while understanding essential financial concepts for personal and professional growth, addressing both economic and educational aspects of empowerment .

Potential challenges for Project LIFT include participants' financial constraints in covering material costs, varying skill levels leading to unequal learning outcomes, and market competition potentially affecting the sale of training products. Solutions might include securing sponsorships or subsidies to alleviate participant costs, offering tiered training modules to cater to different skill levels, and establishing partnerships with local businesses to ensure stable markets for products, hence enhancing project impact and participant engagement .

Project LIFT implements strategies such as distributing brochures, using social media platforms, and arranging limited face-to-face orientations while adhering to health protocols for effective information dissemination. Online meetings are also utilized to orient participants about project objectives and expected outcomes, ensuring comprehensive understanding and engagement from the start .

While both Project LIFT and Project CONNECT aim to empower communities through skill acquisition, Project LIFT focuses broadly on various technical-vocational skills and financial literacy to improve community livelihoods during the pandemic. In contrast, Project CONNECT specifically targets entrepreneurial training in Cookery and Bread and Pastry production, aiming for participants to become certified NC II holders, thus providing a more formal certification route for skills in the culinary arts .

The financial structure of Project LIFT is designed to support learning and community needs by having participants bear the cost of training materials, which creates a sense of investment in the project. The sale of products made during trainings provides a revenue stream that funds further material purchases, contributing to Project SAGA for additional community needs like gadgets. While this structure promotes financial responsibility and self-sufficiency, its effectiveness depends on participants' initial investment capacity and market success of the products .

The main objectives of Project LIFT are to improve the quality of life in the community through skill development, help participants understand the relationship between their skills and citizen roles for communal change, provide support through livelihood programs, create opportunities jointly with the school and the community, and integrate the community setup with relevant learning platforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the project aims to empower participants through livelihood trainings, thereby enabling them to contribute positively to their communities by sharing acquired skills and enhancing their financial literacy, which ultimately supports sustainable livelihoods .
