Eric Warren Singer.

Answer: the type of the movie is (Action Drama).

because this film shows a lot of what pilots do with their fighter planes.

- In one sentence, what is the movie about?

Answer: the one sentence in the movie is (Admiral; Why don't you want to be promoted, even though
with all the achievements you have, you should already have the rank of two-star admiral and even
become a senator.) The annoyed admiral finally ordered Maverick to return to the top-down, namely
the flight school where he was training to be a pilot 36 years ago. And it was when he got there that
Maverick began to receive missions from the Pentagon to destroy a uranium enrichment plant in
violation of agreements between NATO countries.

2. A description of the text

● Plot

Answer: •(Orientation; The film begins with a narrative explaining that in 1969 the US Navy established
an elite aviation school to teach the art of aerial combat. and only a few American pilots have
successfully passed and been declared the best pilots in the world. the pilots call the school top gun.
then we are introduced to a captain named Maverick, he is one of the graduate pilots in the top gun 30
years ago.)

•(Complication; this is where the problem starts, when Maverick is assigned to the top gun, he gets a
mission from the pentagon. Maverick initially thought his mission was an easy mission until he finally
found out about Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, son of his late best friend Nick "Goose"
Bradshaw. For Rooster, Maverick is the person most responsible for his father's death. Maverick, in the
shadow of his past fears knows that the mission he is about to carry out is a very dangerous mission.
This is where Maverick is seen dealing with the shadows of the past and an uncertain future.)

•(Squence of events; After more than 30 years being known as the best Navy Pilot in history, Pete
'Maverick' Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is back to his true position behind the cockpit of a fighter plane.

The story begins when Maverick is ordered to immediately go to Top Gun training in the Northern
Islands by Admiral Chester 'Hammer' Cain. Hammer delivers that on the orders of Four Star Admiral
Tom 'Iceman' Kazanzky (Val Kilmer), Maverick's top rival and old friend. Despite the risks, Maverick was
determined to take the position thanks to the support of his close friend, Bernie 'Hondo' Coleman.
Maverick initially thought he would return to the cockpit of a fighter plane and fly freely in the sky. This
made him very excited.

Arriving at the Northern Islands base, Mav immediately confronts Beau "Cyclone" Simpson to accept
flying assignments.

As it turns out, Maverick was given the task of being an instructor for 16 Top Gun pilot candidates. They
will be selected for special assignments in combing out dangerous uranium factories belonging to
competing countries. They include Lieutenant Jake 'Hangman' Seresin, Lieutenant Natasha 'Phoenix'
Trace, 'Lieutenant Robert 'Bob' Floyd, or Lieutenant Mickey 'Fanboy' Garcia. In the midst of Maverick's
efforts to unite these top pilots as a solid group, he also met the figure of Penelope 'Penny' Benjamin.
Penny is the child of the former Maverick boss in the past. Penny is now a bar owner and a single
mother of a teenager, Amelia Benjamin. Not only that, Maverick also met a number of people who
made his memories 35 years ago revive and brought a number of more complicated conflicts. Not to
mention that Maverick struggles to teach his students to be able to complete missions that are actually

- What did you enjoy about the movie?

Answer: yes i did, because this film features many scenes that stimulate the audience's adrenaline, so
it's easy to make the audience immersed in every tense scene and according to my taste. so I really
enjoyed the film.

- What parts, if any, did you not like?

Answer: there is no part that I don't like, because all the plots in this film have their own impression in
my opinion, so I really like all the storylines from the beginning to the end of the film.

- Did the plot keep your interest?

Answer: yes i did, because each plot makes me even more curious about the continuation of the story,
and makes me want to keep watching it until the end of the film so that it makes me interested and like
the story.

- Did the coda teach you something about life?

Answer: yes i did, because coda taught me that the process of improving myself is not easy, there will be
obstacles in it. and if you really strive for your goals and get through whatever the obstacles are, then
you will surely enjoy the result of your process, which is success.
- Was the movie suitable for certain age groups?

Answer: Yes, this film is suitable for certain age groups, namely for ages 13 and over. because this film is
an action genre, there will be dangerous scenes in the film that are not suitable for children aged 13 and
under.

- Would you recommend the movie to anyone?

Answer: no, I will only recommend the story to my friends. because at my age I am old enough to watch
action genre films like this film, and I do not recommend it for children.
