EX NO : 03 INSTALL GOOGLE APP ENGINE AND CREATE HELLO WORLD APP

DATE:30.08.2022 AND OTHER SIMPLE APPLICATION USING PYTHON OR JAVA

AIM:
To Install Google App Engine. Create hello world app and other simple web applications using
python/java.

PROCEDURE:
Step1:
Download and Install Python 2.5.4 from: [Link]

Step2:
Download and Install Google App Engine SDK.
Double Click on the Google Application Engine installer.
Step3: Click through the installation wizard, and it should install the App Engine.

Step4:To use Eclipse to create a Google App Engine (GAE) Python web project (hello
worldexample), run it locally, and deploy it to Google App Engine account.
Tools used :
 Python 2.7
 Eclipse 3.7 + PyDev plugin
 Google App Engine SDK for Python 1.6.4

Step 5:Install PyDev plugin for Eclipse


Use following URL to install PyDev as Eclipse plugin . [Link]
Figure 1 – In Eclipse , menu, “Help –> Install New Software..” and put above URL. Select
“PyDev for Eclipse” option, follow steps, and restart Eclipse once completed.
Step 6:On launching google app engine launcher , create an application and execute the application
Step 7: Finally, hello world is shown.

RESULT:
Thus,Virtual box/VM Ware workstation with different flavours of Linux or Windows OS on top of
Windows 7 or 8 is installed successfully.
